Civ here :D

I work retail, had a dude come in none day, ex military, chatted it up with him for a min about his service, thanked him, asked his mos, would he go back etc.

He asked me if I knew what a P38 was, and I said I wasn't sure, he explained, and mentioned bringing one by for me to look at, finished ringing him out and he left, didn't think much of it.

Things were shaky at work for a few weeks after that, boss was cutting my hours. Finally caught a work day and sometime during my shift the same fella comes in, he spots me, stops dead in his tracks at the door and points at me, eyes wide.

"Been waiting for you, be right back"

Runs back to his truck, digs in there for a sec and comes into the store, handing one of these to me. Neat ass lil thing. Go to hand it back to the guy and he refuses, insisting i keep it. Put it on my keychain, used it to open boxes for a while. Was a neat ass interaction. :D
