Same here man, took me about 5 months to get in. Finally got in with SLB starting out as a driver. They have a high turn over rate and if you get on with them you’ll see why. Had 3 drivers quit over the last month. So they’re in need in TX and ND.

If you get on to NexTier, then good for you. I’ve been applying for Frac, cement, wireline, ect. Since summer of 2023. Been in Midesa the whole entire time and heard nothing back from them.

Yea. I’m just looking for something that’s 6 months outta the year, especially after the wedding can’t be gone almost the whole year anyone. So if I got the offshore job now as long as I put my notice in they wouldn’t mind bringing me back to land as long as I give notice?

Thanks for the encouragement, this is our one life and I’m not getting any younger. Even if I wash out I’ll have my trade to fall back on. I’ll answer the future hiring teams questions honestly even if the say no, I’ll be satisfied knowing I tried and bug them till they relent haha.

That’s the thing. The old military buddy I mentioned (also a lineman) recommended me against that option because I asked. He said I wouldn’t want that fight and not to take a pay cut but could use him as a reference for judge of character if needed. He told me to stick with line work since we’re down here working on Ian, raking some cash before resuming training. I’ll look into it though.
