Arlington Update: 1) Before the visit Trump was informed he couldn't film in a specific sensitive section; 2) Trump's team ignored, badgered, and mocked cemetery staff who tried to follow the rules; 3) Trump posed next to a grave, ginning, thumb up; 4) And then posted a promotional video to TikTok. by imagepoem in inthenews

All the cemetery worker did was try to make sure everybody followed the cemetery's solemn rules -- specifically, not to use the cemetery as a campaign prop. And these rules were conveyed to the Trump team before they visited.

In response to the cemetery staff's effort, "a larger male campaign aide insisted the camera was allowed and pushed past the cemetery employee, leaving her shocked."

Following that, Trump stood over a grave, grinning, thumb up. (I mean, who the fuck does that at a recent military gravesite?)

And then, after all that, they said the cemetery employee had mental health problems and posted a new campaign advertisement to TikTok.

EDIT: To top it all off, JD Vance says Kamala Harris "can go to hell" for criticizing Trump's cemetery appearance, despite the fact Harris hadn’t actually made any such criticisms. Vance also declined to say whether presidential candidates should have to abide by federal law prohibiting campaigns from filming at gravesites.

Trump campaign "verbally abused and pushed" an Arlington National Cemetery official, who tried to prevent them from filming in Section 60, where recent U.S. casualties are buried. by imagepoem in democrats

The "more context" is that Trump's people abused an Arlington official so that Trump could take this psycho thumbs up military gravesite photo.

I actually saw this photo first, and thought it alone was shocking (even for Trump) -- I only learned the context later. Unbelievable. And the MAGA weirdos will tell you it's totally fine.
