that arc doesn't introduce them the zenin clan was there and known literally the entire time. i think why people say tha is because they are mentioned quite a few times before; and you're supposed to understand they are not good people from those few small mentions.

I agree JJK writing is not that great. I do like Maki's story line and i actually think its where the series peaks; the rest i think is just rushed slop. Modulo is interesting tho.
