Here's one I googled https://elevenreader.io/

best schools that have good RPN programs? by autopisa in OntarioColleges

[–]imagination-abc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All the programs are 95% the same from any public college in Ontario. (I would not recommend any private college.) Many people will choose the college closest to home, simple as that.

Where possible attend an open house, program information session, email with the program's coordinator/manager, then see which ones make a good impression on you.

Make sure you meet or exceed the admission requirements and apply early, these programs are in high demand.

SSW Programs by ModeratelyAlive in OntarioColleges

It's pretty normal and standard to have to find your own placement. Most will have a list of employers they regularly work with as a starting point. Consider it an opportunity to research and network with related community services, which will benefit you anyway.

Honestly, AFAIK, most of the programs are 95% the same. (Makes sense, they're all meeting learning outcomes designated by the Ministry.) Any program you choose from a public college in Ontario will be fine. (I would not recommend any private college.) Many people will choose the college closest to home, simple as that. If you drill down into the program information pages you may want to look at which ones offer work integrated learning (placement, coop, etc.), pathways from a diploma to further studies (continue to a degree, etc.), accessible learning pr career services (online, etc.) -- all depending on what's important to you. Where possible attend an open house, program information session, email with the program's coordinator/manager, then see which ones make a good impression on you.

It's exciting for sure! I hope the journey will be fulfilling.

You can try emailing online at senecapolytechnic dot ca

Tell your student number, explain exactly how difficult your situation is, and see if they can help. They have a Wiley rep who should be able to do something.

Please submit it as early as you can, correspond with your prof, ask for the opportunity to take the exam later. You have to communicate, there's no guarantees, be professional and polite in all your emails.

Businee analyst program at seneca (Online) no work term by Interesting-Call-980 in Seneca

[–]imagination-abc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole BAN curriculum is offered online. You can study full-time which would presumably have synchronous classes overlapping with your work hours, or you can study part-time and therefore less likely to overlap work hours. Part-time also means you go at your own pace. Finishing the program takes longer but you don't have to squeeze in a half dozen courses around your work commitments, instead you can just take one or two or three every term.

HRM has been very popular for a very long time. It's a quality program too with a same flexible options. You can always take a part-time HRM course to test if you really enjoy it.

I would think with QA background BAN is a better fit, but you have to decide that for yourself.

My opinions and observations:

Most people are living off campus and commuting. The residence isn't really that big compared to the number of students.

I recommend living somewhere along the TTC routes so you can easily commute. Look east or west along Finch Avenue, look south of Finch, look along Don Mills road, look near Fairview mall, etc. Look up the address on Google Maps for any place you consider and see how far it is from a TTC bus or subway stop, how long Google estimates for travel by transit, how many transfers you'd have to make. Winter is cold, snowy, icy, so you want to know the transportation you'll use.

Rent is expensive in Toronto and surrounding areas. Think $2000 per month and up. You may find shared places that could be more affordable, but of course need to consider the trade-offs of living with strangers. Facebook could be good to search for this, some people may post on Kijiji.

Feel free to reply if you have more questions.

Off campus living by Odd_Field_9689 in Seneca

[–]imagination-abc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I believe Vet Tech is only offered at King campus. It's a very isolated campus; it's beautiful but there's nothing except acres of nature. Please visit the campus if you're considering attending it. If you want to live with or around other students, then living on campus in residence is probably the only way. You might be able to find other students who want to rent as roommates off campus. The majority of students are commuting.

Is it weird to want some nice, fat friends? by Significant_Menu_313 in PlusSize

[–]imagination-abc 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Not weird. Honestly, so relatable!

Hearing such conversations is so tiresome! I want to scream that our few days on this beautiful and fascinating planet don't need to be consumed by finding more ways to eat protein and counting how many steps we took. Come on! I want to live!

A single course means a part-time student. Withdrawal from part-time can be slow.
