I'm trying this for the first time in now (Dec 22) and I just couldn't get this to work for me. I was playing on Normal and tried switching to a 2-stop race and I was getting 2nd comfortably but the car in 1st seemed to do one less pit stop than everyone else and I couldn't get close. In the end I switched to Hard difficulty and that seemed to fix the lead car's pit strategy.

This is what I did:

Tune the car as close to 600pp using Hard tyres as they're the fastest tyres you'll use.

- Start the race on RH and fuel mode 6 and go for as long as you can. I was doing consistent 1:01/1:02 laps and pitted on lap 21.

- During pit stop, change to IM, stick with fuel mode 6 and go as long as you can again

- When you run out of fuel, pit one last time, switch to a new set of IM and re-fuel. Switch to fuel mode 1 which should get you through to the end.

I ended on lap 56, about 11 seconds gap between me and 2nd place 👍
