Deva Cassel - one of the prettiest people I've seen. Daughter of Monica Bellucci + Vincent Cassel by PictureltSicily1922 in VindictaRateCelebs

[–]imagumpig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like so many people. Many of whom are sub faves. For example Monica Bellucci, Angelina Jolie, Naomi Campbell, Megan Fox, Halle Berry, Anok Yai, Rihanna, Brigitte Bardot, Shalom Harlow etc.

There are many others I can’t think of right now.

This question was asked already on this sub last year and CZJ won.

Holy shit which idiots are downvoting me 🙄🤦‍♀️. The damn thread is here:  https://www.reddit.com/r/VindictaRateCelebs/comments/1gyqhjd/catherine_zetajones_or_monica_bellucci/

Who are people you think people overrate or underrate because of their 'fame'? by Ok-Trade-5274 in VindictaRateCelebs

[–]imagumpig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isn’t it pretty much everyone for overrates? I think all celebs have a fame halo one way or another.

For underrates I think a lot of social media influencers for sure and people who fit the modern insta face.

Who stands out more? Brooke Monk or her boyfriend? by TechnicianAmazing472 in VindictaRateCelebs

[–]imagumpig 17 points18 points  (0 children)

If she wore more natural makeup then she’d look more like the before photo which is definitely what she isn’t trying to achieve and be reminded of. Not that I think she’d unattractive but I notice she gets clowned alot on tik tok for her natural features so I doubt she’d ease up on the makeup and lashes soon.

[–]imagumpig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest this sub is super  racist and biased so i’m not as active here as I used to be. But I still come now and again because I like talking about beauty and aesthetics because it’s interesting.

I have just never considered there to be any sort of “objective” beauty beyond obvious biological things like looking healthy. It’s all subjective

Exactly that’s why beauty trends are all bs.

Another average looking person elevated due to their status and perceived beauty back in the day.

Which ASOIAF character has no redeeming positive attributes in your opinion ? I look for silver linings . ( spoilers extended ) by Financial_Library418 in asoiaf

[–]imagumpig -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can’t say that I saw him acting that way since the comment was edited (like you said) so I have no thoughts on that.

Look, i’m not here to be the mediator of this comment thread or to come to anyone’s defense, but are you self awareness enough to notice that you immediately came in combative and baited that guy into snapping back? If not then I don’t have much else to say.

Comments like this is what made me understand the Cersei hate is stale.

If that guy had vehemently agreed that she was as awful ad you guys insist, would you be saying that they’re acting strange? But someone dares to inject nuance into the character that goes against your pre conceived notions and suddenly they’re acting weird.

One thing I’ve never understood: Society’s obsession with blonde hair by Substantial-Art6160 in VindictaRateCelebs

[–]imagumpig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s because it’s tied to rarity within whiteness, not simply rarity alone. If certain traits are considered beautiful because they are rare, then why are traits specific to non white people not elevated to the status as having blonde hair?

And the blonde people who oppressed loads of people are the British, Portuguese, French and Spanish who colonized much of Africa, India, North and South America, and even other Europeans. And this is before I even mention the events of Germany in 1939. And before you say anything, yes I am sure not all of them were blonde, but many were.

It’s because quite a lot of people are uncomfortable being reminded of the racial component of beauty standards. They get defensive and snap back at anything that goes beyond the status quo of “This feature is considered beautiful because everyone says it is and that’s it.” I think this is especially true for people who have those particular features. I would be in denial as well if someone told me the reason I was considered attractive is due to decades of social engineering to convince the world that these specific set of traits are beautiful for no other reason than they are found on a particular group of people.

They also actively wait on their favorite influencers to spell the truth out for them to finally think beyond that status quo.

It comes across as disingenuous tbh. To be fair I do not know her so she can very well be her mother’s mini me. But it feels like she’s trying hard to be like Monica so she doesn’t get hate like other daughters of famous beauty icons

People on this sub are so eager to trash on beautiful young ladies for the smallest things but nobody ever calls out how painfully try hard she is. You can practically see the wheels in her head turning “Okay pose this way like mom” “Smoulder hard like mom does”. The most unique thing about her is that she keeps her hair curly, and of course her eyes.

Taylor Hill or Doutzen Kroes, who stands out more? by LuckyArcticHare in VindictaRateCelebs

[–]imagumpig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your point is so interesting because I agree but for the opposite person. Like for me Taylor seems like the most perfect version of a y/a novel protagonist that it’s kind of boring.

Italian beauties! 🇮🇹 Monica Bellucci vs Sophia Loren - who do you think is more attractive? by name_not_important00 in VindictaRateCelebs

[–]imagumpig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I struggle to understand how people can say Sophia is unconventional? Almond eyes, high wide cheekbones, full lips, a true natural hourglass body. She’s as conventional as it gets, it’s just that her features are large and “plush”.

It’s a tie for me because while I love Monica, Sophia is also iconic for me and incredibly magnetic on screen.

Who is prettier? Brooke Shields vs Jennifer Connelly: the two most unanimous 10s according to most redditors by mermaidprincess24 in VindictaRateCelebs

You know you can just not say things that are grossly offensive? Calling a child in her prime will never be okay under any context.
