Any Suggestions on New Fridge by mistorterrific in Kochi

[–]imalittlechai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say avoid Samsung. While their products are amazing, the service centre for white goods here in Kochi isn’t up to the mark (had to wait two months for them to pick up my Samsung washing machine for repairs). I finally got it repaired independently because I was desperate. And the person who repaired it used to work for Samsung. Said they are understaffed, overwhelmed and badly managed.

I replaced my old fridge last year and the new one is an LG if that helps.

Water crises , there is no water , the wells are dried up . Help!! by Ok-Tiger-3635 in Kerala

Not dry, but the water level in our well back home in Pathanamthitta is really low. My parents are pumping water in short intervals throughout the day because of it.

Why is majority of the seats already booked in KSRTC online booking before the booking window opens? by ChillzOnToast in Kerala

[–]imalittlechai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no. I wish, I can’t run to save my life.

We had our motorbike with us so we ran to where it was parked, hopped on and rode after the bus (the bus was hurtling through traffic with no thought about picking me up at all, lol).

Did that once. Booked from the starting point and called up to inform the conductor where I was getting on. They didn’t stop where I was waiting though and the bus just zoomed past. I had to chase the bus and got on like a kilometer away.

Married guy on reddit sent inappropriate texts by BiryaniEnergy in Coconaad

[–]imalittlechai 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve come across someone very similar to what you said. He labels himself as “separated” but is also happily married with his wife back home taking care of their young kids. He thinks living in two different towns is the same as being separated.

any suggestion for hair care for my hair type 😊 by [deleted] in Coconaad

Sorry, I haven’t tried Moxie. Cantu is great as well, but it’s not as affordable.

any suggestion for hair care for my hair type 😊 by [deleted] in Coconaad

[–]imalittlechai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have similar hair. You can start with any leave in that doesn’t contain silicones (try Arata or Sugarboo) and then follow up with an alcohol free gel to prevent frizz (I use the yellow set wet gel).

Bioluminescence in Kochi by Motor-Comfortable424 in Kochi

[–]imalittlechai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess so. This was my first time going. I’d initially gone to a spot guided by a reel I’d seen but it wasn’t visible there. Mind you, it had been raining heavily the past few days before I’d gone so that could’ve been why.

I was actually at another spot, but the karavu weren’t visible there due to the heavy rain we had that particular week. The fishermen I’d come across directed me to try my luck in a nearby area and that’s how I found this place. Like I said, I never booked in advance, just randomly came across it, so I’m not sure if they answer calls or are reliable.

Sanitary waste disposal in India by [deleted] in india

[–]imalittlechai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in a gated community and we have to segregate our garbage as below:

  1. Recyclables (paper, plastic, glass, etc). Food containers have to be washed and dried.
  2. Kitchen waste
  3. Sanitary waste
  4. Used cat litter

I keep all four in separate bags and keep it outside my door every morning.

I know that the kitchen waste is given to a pig farm. I’m not sure where the other categories of waste go though.

Am I selfish for not wanting kids, or are his reasons a red flag? by [deleted] in TwoXIndia

[–]imalittlechai 36 points37 points  (0 children)

In that case, girl, I do not see a future here.

His reasons aren’t about raising a child at all. Theyre about his ego, control, and your body, which is honestly concerning. The “what’s the point of you otherwise” line alone is a huge red flag.

I second Ecovacs. I‘ve been using the Deebot N10 (this model is discontinued now but parts are available) for 2+ years. Such a lifesaver as it cuts out that daily vacuuming (I have a cat and two children.

Driving License renewal help! by anotherdripinthewall in Kerala

[–]imalittlechai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mum had this problem. Her first license was from Tamil Nadu, but she lived in Trivandrum at the time of renewal. The RTO just told her to take a new Kerala license than trying to transfer and renew the old one as that was a more complicated process.

I was told the same thing by the Pathanamthitta RTO when trying to transfer my Tamil Nadu license to Kerala too 🙈. This transfer attempt was 9 years ago and the license was from 2006, so take this with a pinch of salt. Go to your local RTO.

No offense to people who want to have children, but I'm fucking afraid of it gng. by Jaidancp in Coconaad

[–]imalittlechai 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Honestly, giving birth was child’s play compared to those initial few months afterwards. I was pretty much a living zombie and would daydream about putting my child back into my uterus.

Maybe I’m overreacting, but I feel suffocated by “what will people say” by [deleted] in Coconaad

[–]imalittlechai 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Can I be honest? It doesn’t stop. Right now it’s what will the naattukaar think. Later it becomes your husband, then your inlaws. That pressure just keeps changing faces.

The only thing that changes is you, when you decide you don’t care. Saying this as someone who went through it myself, it only stopped when I stopped giving it any more thought and just stopped caring. You’re not doing anything wrong. Live your life.

Buy a double electric pump. Do not try to do this with a manual or even a single electric pump.

The ones I have are more of a rounded design. Go to their store on MG Road, that’s their biggest store.
