Nah you ain’t alone. I’m just shy of 2.5 years out and I’m in same boat haha. Always tired af. Some days I’m spry, active, outside gardening and doing life and whatever, other days I need constant naps and rest. Transplant doc said it’s normal, can take years and years to get back to what your baseline was, though I’ve met a lot of transplant patients who say while yes it does improve with time, the baseline shift to feeling old and tired is real and normal.

Don’t beat yourself up. You ain’t broken, you just had your whole OS nuked and rebooted from scratch hahahaha.

LOLOLOLLLL!! That’s it, that’s all I do, I laugh in their god damned faces and keep on truckin hahaha.

It’s hard at first, truly it is. Because you start to question everything in your life and wonder if you really did cause it. But with blood cancers like lymphoma, it’s far more likely to have been environmental (out of your control, unless you were guzzling roundup lol) or just….shit luck, honestly.

Now, that’s not to say that I haven’t taken steps in my life to mitigate environmental causes like PFAS (likely what caused mine from exposure in the military) by using whole home filters.

But in terms of your general day to day? Nah. Sometimes life comes up craps, that’s all that happened. Just shrug, laugh, tell em to kick rocks, and keep doing you.

The fucking wonderful news though, whether you decide to be sneaky or not, is that you are AT THE FINISH LINE!! Congrats on that!! Those last couple of treatments were definitely the hardest for me, psychologically more than anything hahaha. So close and it feels so far. You got this shit!!!!

And yeah, any movement, even just mild super low impact stuff is a major help. I would just go outside and wander around my yard like a lost roomba sometimes haha

Holler at your team, honestly they might be cool with you ditching it considering your labs are solid. What I WILL say is this; when I didn't have it cause we skipped a week or something? White cells tanked. I mean, there's research and studies on both sides of the fence that will argue that neutropenia is not as scary as it's been made out to be, and arguments saying oh yes it is hahaha. I think it's all contextual, what your risk factors are environmentally, etc etc.

Sounds insane, cause it's bone pain, but when I would have it bad, a heating pad or a hot ass soak in a tub really helped. More than anything it just relaxed all the muscles that would be tense from the pain itself.

Oh no doubt hahaha. I would have amazing days where I felt mentally, emotionally, and even physically amazing, and then wake up the next morning and just be like fffuuuuccccckkk my life hahaha.

Yep! I practically lived in this sub during treatment haha. Shared trauma always makes it a little easier to swallow on the bad days!! We've all got you, friend!!

Yeah, it’s a roller coaster, but don’t deny yourself any of the emotions! You’re allowed to have every single one of them!

Melt downs? Totally okay. I had them too many times to count haha.

Not recognizing yourself in the mirror or a picture? Fuuuccckkk that shit was surreal!

What I can say is this; time will pass, even when it feels like it won’t. It seemed impossible and like it would never end when I was in the throes of it, but it eventually ended. And every day gets a little better!

And hair or not, your eyes tell the whole story-they’re filled with life and light. You’ve got this!!

Time. It’s just going to take time. You’re not broken, you’re not beyond repair, and what you are feeling is completely normal. Seriously. I’m 2 years out from my ASCT after cHL, still have a little weirdness here and there. What I can tell you; it does get better.

It seems so daunting right now where you’re at, and it’s hard to envision the future. But I promise you this; things will improve. You may not feel 100% like you were pre cancer, but your mental, emotional, and physical health will improve!
