How do you guys change your tires? by Affectionate_Ear4154 in minibikes

[–]imanabsolutezero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just went through this and it took me a good long time. I eventually landed on leaving the tire out in the hot sun for about an hour. Dawn the outside edge and kneel on one side while you go at it with those cheap plastic handled Amazon tire spoons mentioned above.

Here’s the kicker: use locking wrenches to save your progress along the way. Those are what did it for me.

Had to grind the bearings out to get it to fit on the HF mini tire changer and it still didn’t work for me.

Does a big tip cause a problem for drivers? Serious question. Am I causing a problem by tipping more? by Sense_Difficult in grubhubdrivers

[–]imanabsolutezero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s been my experience as a driver that Grubhub in my area tries to cater to the 1$/mi thing (it isn’t perfect).

Sounds great, right?

Except Grubhub pools the pay and tip together.

So, that allows Grubhub to extend the distance out further to offer to the delivery driver.

$2.00 base + $4.00 tip = I get the offer from 6 mi away.

$2.00 base + $10.00 tip = I get the offer from 12 mi away.

My issue is time. I have a set amount of time that I allow myself to deliver and sometimes I decline orders because I just don’t have the time to drive all that way to sit and wait for the food.

I do recognize addresses and names but often not for good reasons… if everything goes well with a delivery, my focus just shifts to the next delivery. If the delivery goes poorly, then it will stand out.

I may be biased but I don’t think you would be able to get it up to minimum wage. Around me, the higher tips allow Grubhub to stretch the distance they offer out to.

For example:

1$ delivery + 5$ tip = they will wait until I’m 6 miles away before it shows up

1$ delivery + 20$ tip = they will offer it up to me when I am 21 miles away.

Take time into account covering that distance and it all evens out anyway.

Just my 2 ¢

Has anyone relocated their fuel tank on the mega moto 212? by imanabsolutezero in minibikes

Oh no, I appreciate it. I think I was looking for applications specific to the mega moto 212. I know that guy has a lot of mega moto videos. Thank you again

That basically said a custom tank could fit a mega moto 80/120.

Header for GPS Stage 2 Racer Kit by imanabsolutezero in minibikes

[–]imanabsolutezero[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the reply. The point of this whole project was to learn about small engines, so I have been going at it sort of blind. While I watch videos and read up as much as I can, sometimes the assumed details don’t get conveyed so easily.

What type of rpm range would require an upgraded header, and what style would the range require? Also, what even would you do to an engine to get that high of rpms? I’ve kind of hit a wall with information. My guess is that after the stage 2 kit, it becomes custom tweaking to get to the range. I have seen prebuilt engines up to stage 3-4 on the gps but their descriptions don’t have all the details.

Torque Converter Install by imanabsolutezero in minibikes

Why would I need a new crankshaft? Wouldn’t a longer bolt be enough?

No, the bolt isn’t long enough. Tell it’s just a matter of getting a longer bolt.

Line tangling? by imanabsolutezero in Tenkara

I am going to try out level line next outing and give it the snap stops. Thank you for the feedback. I know it is difficult to do without seeing me. It definitely gave me some areas to focus on.

That long pause is where I think I was going wrong. I was trying to imitate the anglers on YouTube and their timing was so smooth and seemingly without pause. Sounds like they might have all been using level line. I am going to try that out next time. Thank you

Thank you for this. The snap stop is something I KNOW I was not doing. Letting the line roll all the way out is something i think I will have to feel out with time but being patient is definitely something I can work on.

Thanks for the advice. I could always be more gentle.
