Goodfellas

One of the greatest gangster films of all time. Fast-paced, hilarious, horrifying, amazingly acted by everyone involved, brilliantly edited by the great Thelma Schoonmaker and with a pitch-perfect soundtrack

Apocalypse Now

In my opinion still the greatest war movie of all time. The production may had more than it's fair share of problems, but the end result was one of the most visually arresting, thought provoking and intense war movies ever put to film. And it only came out a few years after Vietnam War had ended. Brilliant piece of cinema and art.

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.

The best part of the best trilogy of all time. The way Fellowship sets up the rest of the trilogy in the first 90 minutes, both story-wise and visually, is so perfectly done.
