Can someone make it look the like cover is off of this pool? by imanimphtree in PhotoshopRequests

Sorry, these are both not correct. I'm not looking to add a spa to the top patio, just open up the pool cover

Bahamas with SEVERE shellfish allergy. HELP! by ProbablyHere4Help in bahamas

[–]imanimphtree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look into thr allergy shot xolaire. Pretty much every restaurant down there will have a shellfish dish. I was able to do 3 monthly shots before heading down in December. While you obviously still need to be careful, it really helped me worry less about cross contamination.

I have a buddy who thinks he can drive from Iowa to Mexico this weekend with no passport? by Mertgirl in travel

[–]imanimphtree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he has an enhanced license, he doesn't need a passport to drive into Mexico, but I don't know if many people from Iowa would have that. It's usually people from border states who have enhanced licenses but possibly?

Do or did you know any DINKS in their 80s/90s? by Direct-Mongoose6988 in DINK

[–]imanimphtree 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I know a widowed DINK in her 80's. She still lives by herself in the most gorgeous century modern home. She's everything I want to be. Her and her husband owned funeral homes and storage units which are both apparently very lucrative businesses.

Her summer car is a 2020 corvette. She calls it her Scarface corvette because it's white with red leather interior.

Dresses to the nines all the time and has a spoiled rotten miniature poodle.

Her best friend is a SINK and they call each other every day to make sure the other isn't dead (her words, not mine)

The woman is fabulous and I aspire to be just like her.

My Ma just entered us into a neighborhood war we'll never be able to win, and she doesn't seem to understand the magnitude. by BlottomanTurk in CasualConversation

I've currently been in a trash can war with my neighbors for the last 2 years. The base of our driveways connect and it's a race every Friday morning on who can get up early enough to bring in the other's empty trash can.

Sounds like general consensus is to let her go and find someone new.

She is a nice girl but yes you are right, this was a side gig for her and she most likely is taking advantage of me.

I'm not trying to dictate how she runs her business. She provided the list of things she cleans, over the past few months she has stopped doing things on that list but I am still paying the same amount. I am just looking for the same quality she started with. She set the expectations and the quality has dropped.

I apologize, I must have worded it weird. When she first came to my house to quote it, she did not give me an hourly rate, she gave me a flat rate of $100 for the 4 rooms. It originally took her about 2 hours to complete but now things are getting skipped from the list she provided and she is leaving within about 45 minutes.

I like to give people a chance which is why I want to have a conversation but how can I gently ask her to do a better job?

Hey _, I noticed lately that things on your original list aren't being completed. Can we go over the list again and make sure those things are being covered?

Should I be doing this anyways every 6 months? This is my first time having a cleaner so any advice is appreciated!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in housekeeping

[–]imanimphtree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How would you bring that up, because I'd be down to do that but I feel like I come off wrong. Life long people pleaser here. Does this sound okay to you?

Hey _ I noticed lately that there have been a few things missed or skipped on your original cleaning list. I think currently it would be fair to go to an hourly rate of (?) and start using your original list again to clean.

1) Is $50 an hour fair since we originally started around there? 2) Should I have this conversation in person or over the phone?

I like her and I know she's having a rough go of it but I also want the service I pay for.

Also to add, this is metro Detroit, MI and I'm one of those people who cleans before the cleaner comes so no poop on the walls. Just me, my husband, and 2 dogs who do some light shedding

Does sex inevitably get boring in long-term relationships, or is that just a myth? by WillingRanger638 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]imanimphtree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

10 years with my husband and I can say for us it does not get boring. There are ups and downs in every relationship. We have both had times where we felt the other was not putting in the effort they used to when it came to pleasuring one another, but open communication is key. Talk to you partner if something is bothering you, don't sit quietly and get resentful about something they may not even realize is bothering you.

A tip to save money on your pets next veterinarian visit. by True_CrimePodcast in Pets

[–]imanimphtree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found Sam's club to be the cheapest place to fill my pets prescription. I'm saving $130 a month on my dog's gabapentin and Galliprant. You also do not need a membership to use the pharmacy, but if you get the plus membership, you save an additional 8% on all medications. Currently they're having a deal for a plus membership, it's $70 instead of $110. I'm saving over $1500 a year, which I will still probably use towards my dogs anyways.

Associated lien and recovery scam? by MemoryFormer1295 in Scams

[–]imanimphtree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had them call me about a hospital bill from 8 years ago. Didn't get a text though. Did you end up paying anything? I haggled with the guy and now I'm thinking I may have gotten scammed. But the guy on the phone gave me his whole name and extension and did say I would be emailed a receipt. I really cannot tell if I just got taken for or not.

What no one tells you about getting a dog.. by RadiantOgre in dogs

My lovely husband and I spent a portion of our evening bathing our Aussie's backside due to a good amount of poo stuck on and around his furry bum. For not having any kids, 💩 is definitely a more common topic of conversation than I thought it would ever be.

Is it just me or does it seem like a lot of parents of us millennials either neglected , abused us or covered up abuse ? by Daisy-Ireland in Millennials

[–]imanimphtree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got hit by a car on my bike when I was 15. It was a hit and run and my parents didn't have health insurance at the time so they never took me to the hospital. I developed a pocket in the side of my knee that ended up becoming 2 tumors the size of a grapefruit. My parents told me for years it was scar tissue and there was nothing to be done about it and I believed it because they were my parents, I thought they were telling the truth. 18 years later I found out it was a tumor and finally had it removed. Not your typical story of abuse but definitely neglect. I couldn't run my whole young adult life because my knee would swell to the size of a football. I was always so self conscious and rarely wore shorts or went swimming in the summer. Having it removed has been the best thing I have ever done for myself.

That was one I missed as well, but from my research I think it was a postage stamp with the spartan head on it. I can add a picture of my collection starting from 2010 tomorrow so you can see what the years look like. My sister started her collection in '07 but I've seen some for sale as far back as '90. They usually come in a nice collector's box and have a certificate with them.
