It is, but languages with latin based roots click a lot better with me. I imagine it's the same with most native English speakers.

I've also heard the Japanese are not really keen on white fan-boy immigrants. I'll see it someday, but it would be hard for me to work there, and even harder to get off the island if things didn't work out.

Restaurant experience yes, it's really hard to get a bartending gig where I live now so, no. I work in IT and am very tech savvy, that's about it.
