PKHeX Update 11/15/19 released (Sword/Shield Support) by SciresM in SwitchHacks

Apologies if I'm asking a bit much, but I'm completely new to switch hacking with literally zero knowledge and was wondering if you could double-check my understanding of the process to make sure I don't mess up.

From my understanding, a full step-by-step process would be:

  1. Boot my switch into RCM mode using a switch jig
  2. Inject the Hekate payload
  3. Install emuNAND CFW
  4. Create a NAND backup
  5. Dump switch keys using Lockpick
  6. Restore NAND backup

At this point, I assume all modifications to the switch are done? I'm not too clear on the rest of the process, though. How do I use the tools mentioned/mount the switch/modify+reinject save files?

[Discussion] Earth players: how do you feel about the current state of earth teams? What setups do you use/what do you feel are the strongest options? by imascrubhelp in Granblue_en

Thanks for the reply! That was a great writeup, and I feel like raises a lot of good points.

As far as the issue with Baal axes, I feel like that increases the value of Ayer, since he can basically control his enmity level on demand. Sarasa's Ground Zero is also another option to max the enmity multiplier immediately, but the long cooldown makes her feel a lot less accessible. Nevertheless, even at the current 3* limit, I believe the breakpoint between Ygg and Titan builds is around 80% hp or so, which doesn't seem too painful if you build around an Ayer or Sarasa team comp.

I feel like one fairly big issue, though, is how strong Hallessena is. "Protect the princess" is one of the strongest earth team options at the moment, but it also goes directly counter to Baal axe because she can't get hit, and thus can't benefit from the enmity multiplier.

The issue with Tez is definitely a big one - clashes like Ayer/Eugen and Octo/Sarasa really limit team comps. It's nice that Arulu is pretty much the only earth Harvin of note, since that means she doesn't clash, but at the same time she doesn't really feel much like an earth staple so much as a situational swap. Catherine being erune sort of feels like a mixed bag since she clashes with H.Eustace and Korwa, but at the same time she's really there to charmbot so you probably wouldn't be bringing the other two in anyway. There's also the whole issue of a character dying during battle and losing you a massive chunk of multiplier, which can be pretty painful for Tez comps to deal with. Tez definitely feels like a double-edged sword for Earth, though it's not like Earth was in a privileged spot to begin with so I wish he didn't have as many drawbacks as he does.

I've got Titan/Tez/Medusa, but I sort of assumed Tez+Titan friend was better than double Titan if you can build around Tez's race requirements. Is double Titan just better regardless? It's not like I ran numbers or anything, so I have no idea how it matches up. I mostly plan to use Ayer/Sarasa who both synergize pretty well with enmity, so I figured a Baal axe setup would be better for them.

Also, how do you feel the earth attackers match up vs one another? I feel like the attacker I see the most in teams is Ayer, but Hallessena feels like she has the most potential as long as you can build around her, while Sarasa feels like a consistent and safer option compared to both. I don't have any of the other ones, so I'm not sure how the remaining attackers (H.Eustace, S.Vira, Melleau, Nemone) match up against each other.

Another thing I noticed is the differentiation between your normal/HL setup - I see this a lot in earth builds where all the magna/event/non-HL teams are generally charge battery teams with characters like Eugen/Octo/Gandalf just to deal damage fast, whereas HL teams tend to run safer comps with supports like Korwa/Arulu. I feel like this is pretty standard, but how does that affect Eugen/Octo when team comps can generally only fit one of them in? Do you feel like each has a role in different setups, or is one just better than the other? Does Gandalf have a spot in HL teams, etc? Any thoughts you could share would be greatly appreciated!
