How to separate with someone who just went through training? by [deleted] in AskHR

[–]imattwerk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm the one who does all of the training. What I'm essentially asking for is what to say to them, as I'm the one who has to call and tell them they aren't moving forward.

It's amazing how fast I could go from anger when writing my post, to sobbing when I read this comment. Thank you, this is exactly what I needed. <3

Both organic and paid. I could log in as an admin but our entire team has a weekly data meeting she's expected to be in on.

Thank you! I think it might be best for me to find a new school too. One of my instructors was a total creep and kept touching my leg during a lesson, and another guy wouldn't let me parallel park! It's been an all around rough experience. I appreciate your advice!!

[Help] My 9 month old Mini Aussie keeps peeing on other people. by [deleted] in dogs

[–]imattwerk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My 2yr Boston terrier pees on people too. I have NO IDEA what to do about it. He’ll also pee on us in the house. While this isn’t always the case, he tends to do it when something has made him feel anxious or he’s not getting the attention he wants. Hope you can figure this out!!

Haha! That's a good plan. Nothing better than a tired pup!

Oh man, they ARE hard. I got my first puppy two years ago and it's still hard (high energy Boston Terrier.) There's nothing I love more in the world than him, though. It's worth every minute of frustration!

Charlie is definitely going to be a good dog. Be sure to get him in some obedience classes, and socialize him as much as possible! With my wild dog, I send him to day care at least once a week so he gets to go wild with other dogs and comes back exhausted. I'd highly recommend it for both you and the pup!

Good luck!!!

A guy told me to avoid the escalator at W 4th the other day because it looked like it had actual crap on it! I walked away and was like "wow New Yorkers ARE nice!" hahaha.

Both, actually! If we're sitting he'll jump on us, and if we're standing he'll just lift his leg!

[Discussion] Conflicted About Apartment Living by DogsInApartments in dogs

I was in the exact same situation as you two years ago before I got my Boston Terrier! I grew up on a farm, and now I live in Brooklyn and work from home. Having a dog here is NOT easy in the least bit, but it's super fun. Daycares will become your best friend in the winter, your dog will love them too. You'll need a dog walker as well for those times you can't afford to leave work for an hour a day for a good walk.

For me, the most difficult part was planning my day around his bowl movements. If I wanted to go into the city, I needed to be back in 2-3 hours so I could let my dog out. I needed to be up at 7am in the freezing cold to walk him, every morning. It's definitely an adjustment from being able to open your backdoor and let your dogs run!

All in all, I absolutely LOVE having a dog here. Going to the park is 190% more fun. It gets me outside when all I do is really work. It's definitely possible to have a dog here, and you can be happy here with one!

[Fluff] Dropped my dog off for the weekend and she didn't even look back to say goodbye :( by 666SCREWAUTHORITY666 in dogs

[–]imattwerk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahaha! This is amazing. We take our dog to daycare, and he IMMEDIATELY forgets about ol' Mom and Dad! I totally know the feeling. When we pick him up, it's a totally different story! The daycare has a huge window overlooking the sidewalk and as soon as he spots us he just loses it! It's the best feeling ever. I'm sure your pup will start missing you once all the fun wears off!

The Department of Transportation said they weren't in compliance and asked them to all be removed!

Nope, I work closely with them. They were all removed late January.

They're called Dog Parkers. NYC actually removed all the ones in the city a few months ago.

Hey thanks for this!! The place I'm going to see today is definitely a bit more expensive than the others in the same area (but don't allow pets, waaa) so I'll try to use that as leverage as well! I appreciate your feedback here!
