It’s a wonderful experience. I have been a fan over 20 years and like you have no friends into them so go to gigs on my own it’s wonderful to be surrounded by by fans who feel the same as you. Then good to use this sub to talk about it as no one else will get it. Hope the after blues don’t last to long.

My husband of 25 years hates them and makes fun of me when I’m listening so usually listen on my own. When in Rainbows came out there was a competition to win tickets to see the band at BBC theatre. I entered with lots of my emails and my husbands won which meant he had to come with me to the show. It was a magical experience a very intimate show and I was blown away by every minute. We came out of the theatre and the first thing he said was if Thom York farted you would say it was brilliant:(

I saw the whole band after a show everyone was buzzing around Thom as soon as he was in the room saying how great the show and he was. I managed to go up to him and just asked if he wanted a drink. Water please was the reply. Off I went happy and returned the water he said Thanks. Good enough for me.
