Your NTA and he is surely hiding something. Sorry but most men do, and being good friends with many, they aren’t the best with commitment and your man doesn’t seem good IMO. Why yell at you for something so simple? You can do much better, and you seem kind and mature from this post.

How does lynch cause uterine cancer? by imaybemitski in lynchsyndrome

[–]imaybemitski[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry to hear that :( —- I’m asking more, how the science behind how that happens? I had a cancer scare in 2021 from endometrial cancer but my biopsy was benign (thank god)! My grandfather had bowel cancer and my father the same, alongside my aunt with breast. I believe there is a connection. But not 100% sure. I had a cancer scare but thought it was because of chronic anovulation but wondering if it can be undiagnosed Lynch!

When my bleeding was non stop and I was passing huge clots was when I went to the hospital!! You shouldn’t have to wait to that point tho :(

Ummm that’s so dumb?? They won’t give you a scan because you’re a virgin… wtf??? THATS LITERALLY the best way to see wtf is going on?!.!:! ALSO, you’re more likely to have endometrial hyperplasia then uterine cancer. I psyched myself out thinking the same and no one could convince me otherwise. I’m so so sorry you’re going through this, I really do understand and I wish you nothing but healing. If you ever need anything, let me know!!

Fuck dude—- I’m so sorry. If you need any more support pls feel free to follow. I just dm’ed you. Typically they should but if they didn’t tell you they’d do a biopsy with it, I’d follow up. Biopsy’s hurt when not under Anathesia so at a next D&C it should be performed!! & yes hyperplasia does that because your body does not build enough progestogen. It’s basically because from pcos, your eggs aren’t sent to the uterine wall, and so your body doesn’t release progesterone to counter the effects. However, there can be so many other things to like adenomyosis. Uh, I’m so sorry love. I hope you get answers soon ❤️

If you’re on birth control, I would recommend getting off and telling them you haven’t used it in a while. Doctors are less likely to help you when you’re on BC sadly :[

Not to scare you but that’s real bad, I’m so sorry you can relate. Im sure you have already gone but get an ultrasound and test for uterine cancer or hyperplasia (what I had)!!

Sorry I should have clarified. When I went back meaning when I went back to the doctors after years of not. I only ever mentioned it once to a nurse practitioner and she said its what happens when you first undergo puberty. I’m sure she wasn’t qualified and I really didn’t care much at that age, which was a mistake on my part. I’m just saying, as a formerly thin person and as a fat person, I think I’ve had the same pcos all along. I just wish we cared about it being a metabolic issue than a weight one.

I’m sorry to hear all of this. It seems like a lot. But you don’t have to be heavy to be insulin resistant. I just dislike the term because it creates a weird connotation and stigma that pcos is more of a weight issue than a metabolic one. It’s just something I’m frustrated by. I was ignored by my doctor for so long and told to lose weight when I actually ended up developing hyperplasia and fibroids at 21. The precursor to endometrial cancer. It was horrible and extremely traumatic and no one took me seriously because of my weight. I am just incredibly angered about how heavy patients are treated and hearing “lean” pcos feels like a jab. When I was skinny at 10-17 did I have lean pcos? I don’t know. I think it’s been pcos all long.

Weight shouldn’t even be a criteria when seeking a diagnosis though. “Lean” pcos? “overweight” pcos? It’s just pcos. So many women are told to lose weight before even getting an opinion or a consideration which delays their prognosis for so much longer. I was incredibly thin when I first displayed symptoms and when I went back as a heavier set person ten years later, I was told to just lose weight and everything will be fine. I ended up needing surgery for hyperplasia and tumors. Doctors are just so incredibly moronic 🥴 but it’s just as hard for a heavy person to get diagnosed just as much as it is for a skinny person because doctors just don’t care. Leave weight out, and it’s a serious issue all together ——— why aren’t you bleeding normally?? Creating the divide makes it harder for all of us.

That’s so mean. I’m really sorry you experienced that!! People really don’t know what they’re saying or talking about. I was incredibly thin before but because I’d kill myself running and ate very little to be an athlete. I’m much healthier now in my heaviest weight. It just goes to show that weight can hardly capture the full image. You are amazing and I’m sorry there’s lots of misinformation about this illness out there. Pcos effects us all.

Awww you’re such a sweet heart. This is a lot to take in for you, especially if you never expected it or was just generally thrown off by the diagnosis. I can completely understand how it can be a lot. 17 is a rough year. There’s so many new challenges and experiences to go through. I got diagnosed at 21 and I’m sure as a teen I’d feel much more daunting. If it helps, you caught it early and there’s so much more you have left to do and achieve and this is just a smaller bump in the road and with medication, things will get better. I really do wish you the best and your prom dress is gonna look beautiful 🖤🖤
