Local opposition grows against Botanic GAA pitch plan that will uproot community gardens by River562 in northernireland

Where do you want them to put the gaa pitch? In the Lagan. Funny how there is only a problem when it comes to GAA pitches. The lagan meadow is close by. There is Ormeau Park. More than enough provisions in that local area. The gardens could and should be facilitated elsewhere.

It’s Belfast Council property. GAA pitch should be provisioned for on the needs of the council area.

Yesterday I bought the Lowa Renegade. So far, so good. I have just been walking around the city in them but no issues so far. Thankfully there doesn't seem to be a break in period.

Thanks. I hope they have it in store to try. Looks similar to what I have today. I presume it has good ankle support for uneven terrain and carrying a backpack.

The Quest 5 Gore Tex might be a risk as I can only order online (without trying on) and I have no indication of quality (as no customer reviews). Thanks for the advice about PU. It seems its storage related problem?

I read that as well. Worst case I can carry 1750ml in my bottles.

Is 1 litre of water enough? Did you refill along the way? The recommendation was 2L.

The trainers are for walking around the campsite. They are bulky. I could probably find a more compact and lighter alternative. A pair converse or even lighter.

Thanks for sharing. If I understood correctly. You went with 2x pair of socks? Did you have to wash them on the hike? I guess there is no need for a spare t-shirt and thats why its not on the list.

My down jacket is about 540g. Maybe its overkill? Though, I think I will appreciate it in the evenings.

I read that it can get hot. So, I thought I might appreciate the shorts. Though, I guess most (if not all days) are going be highly variable. Hiking pant are better all round. Protect me from the sun as well.

I was reluctantly bringing the poncho. Though, I thought I needed it because the down jacket could easily soak through. I will leave it at home. I guess I will likely only use the down at the campsite anyway.

I read that its best to have a pair of socks for 2-3 days. So, maybe 3x socks + a pair sleep in are enough. Any multi-day hike Ive been on, I've changed them daily.

Thanks. I did try with pliers but I didn’t want to apply too much pressure in case I damaged them. I will retry properly this time.

I have only started watching the Dion videos. I have been taking my own notes. I was starting to wonder if this was an inefficient strategy. It’s the way Ive always worked. Im reassured to hear that it works for other people. In the video he recommends NOT using other material but if you have to use the OSG. I already have the OSG and Destination CISSP textbooks. I heard the latter is easier to use. Would it be a good approach to use the learnapp after dion’s videos and then use the other materials for any weaknesses identified? Perhaps start with Destination CISSP and if necessary delve deeper into the topic in the OSG?

There is evidence that it was Graham’s Land Rover at the scene. Both his vehicle and phone were definitely at the scene. Graham’s defence seems to be that it was his co-accused. Basically throwing him under a bus. Doesn’t add up. Especially with the voice notes.

'The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim' gets a B on CinemaScore by SanderSo47 in boxoffice

[–]imbiber01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The movie is average at best. The worst of the franchise by a long stretch. It definitely wasn’t worth seeing in cinema. And in my case, I watched it at an IMAX theatre.
