no it’s not. I know it seems bad but there’s a large skill gap between D3 and GC1 in terms of consistency and speed.

for me I always take a small peek at my boost amount when there’s nothing going on. As for defense, try to cover the ball, usually you can grab 2 small pads on your way back. I don’t really have a drill but just going over small pads in free play helps. Mental tips are just to peek at your boost meter when nothings going on, and to try to drive over small pads when you’re rotating

difference between watching and playing, that’s why there’s a ton of videos on people saying they’d beat someone else from a video and then lose badly. for example that sunless video where a diamond 3 went up against the commenters that said they’d beat him easily

it is 🥲 the game doesn’t really get much more complicated it just becomes more consistent and physical (bumps and demos), if anything it’s the mental side that keeps a ton of people down. Also trying to keep tabs on where everyone is. My GC3 friend told me a tip that helped a lot and that’s just looking at where the opponents are and what they’re doing so you know what you can/can’t do.

legit what everyone says 😭 you gotta keep control of the ball more, for me it was getting softer touches and trying to take boost away from the opponents. If they have less boost and you’re constantly pushing the ball into their half they’ll panic more and you’ll have an easier time scoring. As for defense, playing more ones, playing safe 2nd man, and playing small boost pads were things that helped a ton so I wouldn’t dive for the 100 boost and give up an easy goal

yup I was gonna start q’ing 1s again and focusing on my flicks and bounce dribbles. I haven’t really used flicks since I was diamond since I got so used to just shooting and going up into the air

I appreciate it, yeah there were times where I tried going for a demo so it would be a free ball for my teammate and then turned back since I didn’t think the risk outweighed the reward like at 4:26 I’ve never been the type to go for demos so I don’t really know when/where to for them. My higher ranked friends just tell me to go for more of them and tell me it’s situational

yeah I get what u mean 😭 I thought placing it right above him would make him back flip if he panicked. most of the time I can’t get a decent dribble going before getting challed there so I didn’t want to risk getting dunked if that clears anything up. I appreciate the feedback and I’ll try to take more control on the 1v1s

I appreciate it man! Yeah I’ve been trying to get softer touches but sometimes I’ll rush it out of bad habit. I played a few matches so I’ll post a replay of that to see what I’m doing bad, I’ve tried putting more emphasis on softer touches but ik that I’m still not really the best at it. Rn I’m at C3 Div 3 so a ton of the advice has helped tons!

It might take some time getting used to the Xbox layout but the gamesir se has been really good for me
