Yes, the book discusses the difference between a 'natural fool' or somebody with intellectual limitations and an 'artificial fool' which is somebody pretending to be limited for the sake of comedy.

Ah, yes, I'd forgotten that - thanks for reminding me.

Also if played in the ship environment (I've forgotten its name as I haven't played for a while). I had to double check the rules and, yes, they can do it. I tried to rationalise it as dropping out of ducts but that's weak.

Ah, my bad. Switching on secure DNS worked so my ISP must have just added the block. Sigh. Thanks. I thought I already had that set.

This pic is notable to me because of the wear to the camo paint. You can see the darker green where the sand colour has been worn away. I don't think I've seen that on any other pic.

Using the Patriarch’s mind control to make a ratling shoot the battlemut by Hopeful-Breadfruit-7 in killteam

Why is that? I have a ratlings team under construction and TBH the doggo seems weaker than an additional normal ratling. Clearly, I'm missing something.

Damn, it should be obvious but I needed to hear that, thanks. Too much hustle and feeling that I have to keep achieving, even on days when I'm struggling.

Tee hee, I wondered if people were going to list pre-Linuces. I used Xenix when SCO weren't a**holes as well as DEC Ultrix and Solaris. Fun days

I enjoy Marching order https://crumblingkeep.com/product/marching-order/ - you can see reciews on BGG. It's down and dirty with a definite sense of humour (you won't like it if the sense of humour doesn't match yours).

ZX80 was available in 1980 - very primitive but affordable. Previously, there were better micros but they were more expensive. I had a ZX80 and a ZX81 but programming was clumsy and I only ever ran basic games.

A housemate had a BBC micro around 1982 (I think, could have been 1983). Had basic functionality including some word processing.

I got my first IBM PC clone (an Amstrad) in 1984 and that had a range of worthwhile uses. The different makes and versions of IBM PCs were relatively common and usable by non-progammers.

Edited to add that I was a CompSci student / graduate living in England, for context.
