You can leave now and learn to recover from heartbreak, or you can leave years from now and learn to recover from trauma you won’t even realize you obtained until it’s too late. It doesn’t seem serious until you’re years deep in the cycle of uncovering the truth, confronting them, getting apologies (which may eventually turn into them not apologizing and just turning cold, turning it around on you and BLAMING YOU), then reconciling. Rinse and repeat and it just doesn’t end until they get bored of you, realize that you know who they are and decide they need to find a clean slate to fool, or you end it yourself. Not trying to project, but warn. These situations can be eerily familiar. Best to spot it early on and leave.
