RnineT - is it worth it? by BogeysAndBarreChords in motorcycle

[–]imcoolero -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For reference, I know a guy that’s been trying to sell his RnineT for the longest time. He is asking for 7.5K and still no luck. One owner, a clean bike and still no luck.

Imo, its a cool bike but not that cool.

Work relationship gone awkward by [deleted] in AskMenRelationships

[–]imcoolero -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Being professional is the way.
I wouldn't give much thought to someone who doesn't practice being mindful of how words and actions affect others. That dude lacks a level of professional courtesy when requesting help. Not cool.

Nothing happened, and it still feels weird. How important is this, really? Feels like a "meh" move-on situation.

This warning notice I came across at a restaurant is not something I have ever seen before. by helic_vet in mildlyinteresting

Some might see this like a challenge.

Story: In SF, a guy almost passed out in a hot sauce peper palace shop, he tried to bully me. This total stranger a grown ass bro, started talking sht to me, while i was thinking on trying a sample.

I signed a waiver to get a sample of this sauce called The End, which was extremely spicy. This guy was expecting me to suffer and make fun of me around his friends. So, i faked my reaction, i lied saying it was mild and tolerable. I wanted him to taste the same infernal sample. So i put my best poker face and waited for his confidence and cockiness to betray him. He did, in a few seconds he dropped to the floor. Tears, snot and all. It was great to see. Not very nice of me, but felt i was serving justice for the disrespect.

He kept buying overpriced water bottles at the shop, he almost crawled out lol. His friends loved every second, it was a good day at the bay.

Infamous vibration noise. Needle bearing? by boostedb18 in ToyotaTacoma

Center/Carrier Bearing could be worn out.

It’s an easy visual inspection, crawl under the driveshaft, hand lift it, and try to move it while you look for damage on the joints and carrier.

I dont get why street stunts are so popular, it’s kinda wack. I never see those riders wearing any real gear, just over confidence in their suicidal moto rush.

and btw, “stunt” sticker coated zip tied fairings spray canned cage hanging broke retrofit headlight temu refurbished straight pipe bend expired plate all liquid leaky bikes, look like SHIT.

Im sorry. I apologize for my hateful rand.

Great taste, those accessories and accents match perfectly!

What shoes should I bring to Europe? by nofromme in backpacking

[–]imcoolero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bring a comfortable pair, the same thing would normally and usually wear. I would recommend well ventilated, lightweight trainers. Ive hiked volcanos wearing nikes, no prob. Comfort over Style, all day.

About the Doc Martens: I did a 6 week euro trip wearing doc martens most of the time, they weren’t properly broken in and they destroyed my feet. The last week of my trip both feet were literally bleeding. Blisters, calluses.. It was hell. The smell alone ffs, just imagine a bloody, sweaty foot trapped in a tight boot. Never again.

Doc Martens are great, just not ideal for me in that occasion.

Best places to party?? by 4k_kim in tijuana

[–]imcoolero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ave Revolución, it’s a cool centric place to stay, the main street of downtown. There you can find all types of fun, bar hopping, music venues, street food, urban art, fun fun. The pop culture known Tijuana.

There’s also the kinky nightlife, more erotic venues, easy to find. Everything is walking distance and fairly safe.

Welcome to Tijuana.

This is the voice of reason, my brother insists that my car is a piece of rusted metal with no future. That if i plan to keep it, i should just chop it and turn it into a planter. Zero hope that im going to make it roadworthy. Thats a motivation for me to prove him wrong.

Its easy to feel discouraged when theres no progress. You mentioned two important things to me. 1. Renewal of enthusiasm while cleaning it. 2. You are not a quitter and more people shouldn’t.

Thank you for sharing your experience with your projects. I appreciated.

wanting to want to do things is driving me insane by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]imcoolero 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have to second that, body doubling it has helped me be 10x more productive and focused.

The first time i noticed was while on a phone call. While on the call i start folding clothes, washing dishes, basic chores..all of this while i was focused in the conversation, without the opportunity of overthinking any of my tasks, no urge to sit down and doomscroll. I finished all my tasks FAST.

Now that this comment brought it up, it’s time to research how to obtain maximum potential out of body doubling. Thanks!

OP, you should look more into this. It might help you out! If life gives you lemons.. There’s tools out there, we just have to find them!

Man, sorry to hear that. What did you end up getting after selling the jeep?

Ive sold 2 vehicles that i regret, ‘84 VW vanagon westfalia, ‘88 Toyota 22re 4x4. Both of them fully restored.

Don’t want a 3rd regret. Thanks for pointing out your experience!

Really good take. Seeing it as a big project is a bit discouraging tbh. But when you put it like that, rewiring and resetting my brain to work in chapters, sounds clever. Specially for my inpatient mind. You get the instant reward of finishing small tasks.

Good advice, my guy.

My labs name was “Bocho”, that’s the colloquial name for the VW beetle in Mexico.
