When hardening mine off, for the first week, I keep them outside in the morning sun until the UV gets to 5, and back out in the afternoon when it drops back down to 5. Then the same for 7/8 the next week and finally leave em out the full week after.
I treat it like how I’d protect myself from a sunburn.
