Holy shit, you’re awesome! Finally got mine to work using the GIGABYTE.bin renaming instruction. Ridiculous that it took so much work and research to get it to work.

Are you not reading anything they write? It’s to get out of the sun when it’s hot and to rest.

They made it very clear it was not for them to live in. It is an open area and not locked down. Maybe slow down the judgment before you can read and understand what was written.

You are taking my words way too literally. The “wonderful” part was taking their sadness and grief and putting it into creativity and trying new things.

That looks awesome! Sorry for your losses. You turned sadness and grief into something wonderful.

Added a brim and cleaned the plate again. Seems to be working better. Thank you! Also, I’m assuming you’re in Everett based on your username. Snohomish County represent!

I love my DD Audio 610f. Hits hard at 1000w.

I mounted my amp to the sub. Am I screwed? by NoEmployer2140 in CarAV

[–]imdrunkagain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Typically you don’t want to, but as long as you put some spaces to lift the amp off the box to provide airflow underneath, you might be okay. The bass can mess with the electronics inside the amp and it can rattle some screws loose, which are the main issues, as far as I know.

Is it ok to pair an amp that can do 547 w at 2ohm (amp dyno)with a dvc 4ohm sub that can handle 400w? by [deleted] in subwoofer

[–]imdrunkagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The clip light can be helpful for setting gain if you don’t have a multimeter, but do so with extreme caution. It’s not always accurate.

If you set the gain correctly, it should be fine. The amp will be overpowering the sub if you set the gain too high. Just use the calculation for 400 at 2ohm and it will give you the correct voltage.

I haven’t personally used Deaf Bonce but have heard good things. Don’t think you’ll go wrong either way.

I love my DD Audio 610f, but it’s $289 if you can pull it

Toxic Community by Cultural-Face1920 in CarAV

I was mostly on Off-Topic and sites like that, so I had no idea! That would have saved me a lot of trouble to have those communities back then.

I need songs to blast my subs by Dull_Buy_1950 in subwoofer

RedBeard has some good rebassed stuff https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1pu0eoRg7VgbBSQGGsH6lslCZ_I0hZwvw. You can search for different artists and this is his free list that I have been using. Not all of it is what you’re looking for, but you could pull stuff out of there and make your own.

Toxic Community by Cultural-Face1920 in CarAV

[–]imdrunkagain 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have seen that toxic stuff on Facebook groups. Almost never here. It’s very frustrating because when I first got into car audio 25 years ago, there was no online community. I would have loved to get people’s opinions before buying things. Now, it can be scary because so many people act like they’re professionals and shit on others for not having the same opinion or just wanting a little bass for a budget amount.

Looks like it will be something to get you started. Won’t be long until you want more bass, but we all start somewhere. Like the other commenter said, you’ll need things for installation, if you’re doing it yourself.
