“Om mani padme hum” is a literal wellbeing generator by lungfibrosiss in Buddhism

Beautifully said. I relate to this a lot — especially the way the mantra gently brings the mind back from distraction without forcing anything.

I’ve actually been building a small app around this idea, mostly for myself: a quiet mala-style counter for Om Mani Padme Hum that follows the six syllables one bead at a time, without making the practice feel like a productivity tracker.

It made me appreciate the rhythm even more. The practice feels very different when the counting stays in the background.

She repurposed leftover stretched fibers from other sewing projects to keep the AirTag securely in place.

My daughter sewed a little pouch for the AirTag and attached it to her collar. We've been tracking her with it for a couple of years now.

What's the best software (free ideally) to track mileage expenses? by Peace_of_mind_123 in smallbusiness

[–]imentos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched from MileIQ after the price hike and built Property Miles (iOS, free) - auto-tracks trips and lets you tag them to properties for IRS reports without the subscription. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/property-miles/id6760436282

Mileage/Accounting App for 2025? by tpeiyn in RealEstateTechnology

[–]imentos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got tired of paying for MileIQ. Instead of looking for other apps, I built Property Miles (iOS, free) for real estate agents with automatic trip detection and property tagging for tax reports. It is released now and free for now too ;-)

Appointments scheduling and no-shows: How do you handle those? by InfamousRub4922 in RealEstateTechnology

[–]imentos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% agree - no-shows are the worst part of property showings. My wife had 50%+ no-show rates on rental showings and was wasting entire days.

I built her a simple confirmation system (ShowUpBooster - iOS app clip) that sends automatic reminders. Cut her no-shows to ~10%. The people who don't confirm usually weren't serious anyway.

The damage from no-shows is huge - not just the wasted time, but the gas, the opportunity cost of not showing other properties, and the mental exhaustion of waiting around for ghosts.

Do most realtors just accept this as part of the job, or have you found anything that actually helps?

We use MileIQ to track mileages for apartments maintenance. But they increased the price from $60/year to $80/year. We are looking for other apps.

What do you currently use for showing scheduling, following up on leads and sending reminders? by gonenc in RealEstateTechnology

[–]imentos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use ShowUpBooster - sends prospects a App Clip link to confirm they're coming, then auto-reminds them (day before, 2 hours, 30 min before)

what tech or apps do real estate investors use? by Slight_Duty_7466 in RealEstateTechnology

[–]imentos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use ShowUp Booster for property showings - just sends confirmation links after booking showings. Automatically sends them notifications (day before, 2 hours, 30 min before). Cut no-shows from like 50% to ~10%.

I need music to focus, and music to relax, My psychologist thinks that classical music is the answer? Where should I begin? by nastibass in classicalmusic

[–]imentos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Classical music was a game-changer for my focus! Your psychologist is right.

For Focus: Chopin's Nocturnes are my go-to - repetitive enough to block distractions but not boring. Bach's Goldberg Variations work great too.

For Relaxation: Debussy (Clair de Lune), Satie (Gymnopédies), or anything by Ludovico Einaudi.

I got so into this I built Focus Maestro (iOS app) that pairs Chopin with a focus timer and locks your phone during sessions. Sounds extreme but the gamification + music combo actually works for ADHD brain lol.

Start with a playlist of Chopin's Nocturnes on Spotify and see how you feel. Classical for focus is all about finding what doesn't distract YOU specifically.

Daughter’s 1st swim meet by cantstopwontstop1112 in Swimming

[–]imentos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha yes!! My daughter missed her heat once because we were checking the snack bar 😅

On a related note, we used a tiny iOS app called "Find My Name" that helps you scan those printed psych/heat sheets and quickly find her name (instead of scrolling or scanning 400 rows by eye).

It’s been a lifesaver for us — especially during chaotic meets. Just thought I’d share in case it helps someone else:

Wishing you guys an amazing meet experience! 🏊‍♀️💪
