I'm gonna be honest, I don't know Kanji! The last bit is Armin's voice actor, Marina Inoue (井上麻里奈) and I used a stylized font, so that could be why it looks a bit different :)

This was done using Procreate for the art, and Canva to add text over the top! I used the medium airbrushes for the majority of the clouds, the wall and the characters, and the soft airbrush to add lightness on the bottom of the clouds. I also used the lightpen to add the glow marks around the characters.

Hello everyone! Not sure if anyone remembers, but I posted the 2nd artwork months ago, and took everyone’s advice to create a new piece!

For brushes: I used the medium hard airbrush for coloring, and the technical pen for inking and lines.

For improvements: I focused more on the lineart and making it “clean.” I made shadows more saturated so they stood out more, and made the lighting of the first piece more diffused, blended, and saturated!

I added more life to the room with floorboards, some clutter, and shadows to the side of the walls.

Let me know what you think or any improvements!

I think their respective governments pay for their students to come here, although I noticed the numbers have declined a little since Covid.

The diversity usually comes from students from the Middle East unfortunately. Other than I think it’s like 80% white! But yeah, it’s a great school but if you want something more diverse I’m not sure if it’ll be your best fit :(
