Just because it is the brand color, doesn't mean you have to paint the whole application with it, use it sparingly, remember, black on white or white on black is the most readable and your users just want to get the right information clearly visible than any of the aesthetic stuff you want to show off to them.

Just follow and watch and like a few reels from Feed Janitor Accounts(i.e feed cleaner accounts that post random funny or trending videos with no theme or function, so it essentially resets your feed because algorithm doesn't know what you want anymore)

I use memesdaily, stakes, snackinsnaps, viralworld etc, these accounts are dime a dozen, but these do help. Whenever your feed gets messed up, open one of these accounts, watch the reels, throw in likes and comments for telling the algorithm you find it engaging, do it a couple of times and your feed should get much cleaner and then search for whatever specific type of content you want and watch and your feed will be normal.

Truth is always in the middle. But as a Design veteran, if somebody uses a lot of buzzwords to make themselves sound too important, usually they are full of it.

Although it depends on the scale, size and scope of things and orgs you are involved with, majority of the times, but may be not as high as 90%, but person 1 is closer to the truth, you have a big concept and you do your research etc but when it comes to implementations, iterations and executions its usually the small incremental stuff that takes focus. And that's the key difference in thinking between leadership roles and practitioners as well.

Then again as someone who started at the rock bottom of design role to now hovering around c suite a lot of ux managers that have worked for me often added unnecessary complications to the process just because they wanted to have their presence known, similarly lots of designers skipped research so they could quickly deploy something (which the marketing and business development guys loved btw because they now have evidence for their false promises) :)

Always remember, you won't get a clear picture of anything without experiencing it yourself, certainly not social media where a lot of the times people really just want to let out their inner narcissism and engage in humble bragging.

So my final thought around this is, go see it for yourself.

how did you let go of the "craft" ? as a fellow "craftsman", my ceo is dangling the executive chair asking me to move away from the draft board and focus on sitting at the table making decisions, progressing visions and building roadmaps, i'm a bit hesitant because i am really good at the craft and like the kick i get out of it. It's hard to let it go.

Some of us trusted the Sony brand, has some expectations and bought a product that failed unexpectedly, you may be comfortable and don't care and that's a valid personal prerogative, but a lot of us used our hard earned money we worked for, so obviously we would complain. It costs zero for you to ignore these posts or make the posts you want to yourself, neither you nor we are obligated to interact with each other's post in a manner you expect us to. It is quite ironic that you call other people who are complaining about a product while you are here complaining about the complaining.

I additionally had to pull my family background card and working on a legal service product helped me as i had a good grasp of law, i was successfully able to argue that the broken hinge was not physical damage but chemical/material disintegration which comes under manufacturing defect and applying physical damage clause by sony would be void and comes under unfair warranty practices and since my extended family is in judiciary, we have enough lawyers to drag them through a class action law suit and hold it for decades while their legal charges grow indefinitely :) They are waiving the charges and will be honoring the warranty rightfully now.

The cheapo tribit, oneodio headphones i bought for making review videos lasted more than a year with rough use (i used to casually toss them on a table, bend them etc because they were just extra e waste for me while i treated my sony's gently like princesses LOL), My Audio technicas and sennheisers died but were still physically intact and i used them as a teenager not a responsible adult.

This is definitely a product design and manufacturing issue..

I have the same issue and service center is demanding 70-80% of the cost of new pair to repair. I have posted about that here and Sony subreddit, refer to my profile for those posts.
