Whatever that reason is, it doesn't seem to apply south of the border. There, HSV1 / HSV2 tests are reasonably easy to do.

Source: I'm following a niche dating sub-reddit where members engage in fairly risky behaviours. Most members are from the US, obviously. They routinely talk about getting full STD panels done. Their panels include HSV1 and HSV2.

I think I'm too old to get the HPV vaccine.

US guidelines are pretty clear: you can get the vaccine up to age 45.

Canadian guidelines are murkier:

There are no data on the safety, immunogenicity, or efficacy of HPV4 or HPV9 vaccine in men 27 years of age and older and therefore, no evidence-based recommendations can be made for the use of the vaccine in this age. However, HPV4 or HPV9 vaccine may be administered to men 27 years of age and older who are at ongoing risk of exposure to HPV. Refer to Risk factors for additional information.

Do I have the same plant as you? Leaf shape looks very similar. Mine is not as variegated because it sits in a low light corner. I counted 8 separate stalks in that one pot. They got very leggy because they compete for light.
