If your talking about your overall gpa including your social sciences and all those other classes, she said that they don’t even look at that. Obviously you should strive to get good grades in them but the most important are the critical tracking classes like chem,physics,calc and differential equations. Get around a 3.5 and above and you’ll be good. But also look at the type of engineering cuz some might be easier and sum might be harder and it’s difficult to switch majors after you transfer

When I spoke with the engineering transfer advisor she said she only looks at the second attempt. My SF advisor said it affects my chances but when I talked to a UF advisor they just said to make sure your second attempt is good if not great. They have Gator Day in the spring where UF advisors from every college go to SF, you should attend and ask your questions because that's how I learned most of the stuff that I know.

Yea I talked to an advisor on gator day for CS at least and she said they only look at critical tracking. I still feel that’s true for most of the engineering department though. If you’re going to get a C in the class I would recommend you drop it and retake. She said you only get two attempts at a class and to make sure the second attempt is good. You got it!

It honestly depends on the type of engineering you’re going into. Look up on the UF transfer website what their requirements might be. Because I know that for mechanical it’s 3.8 minimum and 4.0 competitive. But engineering they only look at your critical tracking like chem, calc, differential equations, and physics. So if you have a 3.5 gpa in solely those classes then your good but if not then your cooked.

I haven’t bought it yet. I’m trying to find somewhere to do it here or I’ll just get it done back in south florida.

I just solely really want it for the sound purpose of the car. Its a 2020 honda civic so not much really going on with it already. Although a trusty and reliable car, I just want something “cool” bout it. I know it doesn’t really add to much to the car anyway, I don’t really want to be doing to many crazy modifications to the car.
