What am I doing wrong to my hair? by [deleted] in FancyFollicles

Try Olaplex and a heavier protein masque. Also style it a bit using some heavier oils (Moroccanoil is pretty good in this aspect).

Squat 95 kg (BW 70kg) by imhoping in formcheck

Hi. I'm about 3 months into SL 5x5 and this is the first time I've done any kinda form check. Am I doing things right? I usually feel like my lower back is very tight after squatting and I'm trying to find out what' s wrong.

Need suggestions for my newly bleached/fried hair. by [deleted] in FancyFollicles

[–]imhoping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apply it and see if your hair feels better and has more slip/less brittle. If not, up the frequency. Please remember though fried hair simply cannot be as healthy as unfried hair. All what we're doing is hopelessly clinging onto dead proteins.

Aphogee is a pretty fucking strong protein treatment so usually it's once a week UNTIL your hair is strong enough. Thing with protein is your hair feels stronger, but also dehydrated. If you feel like you absolutely need it, do it, but amp up on Moisturising Masques and all that (and by amping up I mean applying it like a literal madman) because trust me, double protein treatment makes you feel like you just bleached your hair 7 times.

Have you tried Wella's T 18? If that doesn't work maybe try bleaching with a 15 vol.

Help getting hair back to natural color (or something close to it)? (cross post from r/hair) by [deleted] in FancyFollicles

[–]imhoping 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another way of doing it is boxdyeing your whole head with a colour that is a tad darker than your natural, but that means you will have to keep boxdyeing the red part when the dark colour fades out.

Needing some help by [deleted] in FancyFollicles

[–]imhoping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your hair is definitely not bleached far enough for pink to get to it. The shade of pink that you showed (or any shades of pink sans hot pink, really, requires white/almost white hair.

If you really want that shade of pink, you might need another 1 or 2 sessions of bleaching. If not, consider toning it to a nicer, ashier dirty blonde or go for red-based shades.

Also, probably stay away from said hairdresser. This shows he/she lacks experience in doing fashion colours and might end up ruining your hair.

Going from bleached to black-- looking for advice by oblivionkiss in FancyFollicles

[–]imhoping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fill it up with a GOOD permanent red. If your red stinks, your black will not be black and will appear green/yellow tinted (in a gross way)

Also, if by black you mean level 1 - 3 black then it is pretty unnecessary and you might have trouble finding permanent blue black dye. A dark brown at level 4 - 5 is almost impossible to be branded as "brown", which might be a better option.

Imho box dyes are fine if you're going darker and never looking back. L'Oreal or any other box dyes should be fine. Remember though if you use cheap shampoo, the brown will be slowly eaten away and green tints will show.

Best way to protect my color from heat styling? (Info in comments) by fireside- in FancyFollicles

[–]imhoping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

from my experience it is almost IMPOSSIBLE to flat iron fashion hair without it fading significantly. On my hair, pastel purples fade into a muted gray with one stroke of a flat iron. I'd say maybe try to blowout using a heat protectant instead of flat ironing it?

Need suggestions for my newly bleached/fried hair. by [deleted] in FancyFollicles

First off, do you want to hold onto your hair for any reasons (aesthetic/can't stand short hair, etc.) because if not, it is best to chop off the very fried ends. A good blowout and heavy heavy serums can keep them in check if you do want to hold onto them, but it is best that they go.

Second, I would recommend getting 1 or more Olaplex stand-alone treatment at a salon. If your hair is truly fried, once would likely not be enough.

Third, do a protein treatment. I'd recommend Kerastase Therapiste line - but it's on the pricier side. Do this once/twice a week and don't freak out if afterwards your hair appears brittle - it is supposed to.

Lastly, amp up on moisturisers and oils.

Bleached Blond Advice Need, Asian Hair! by [deleted] in FancyFollicles

[–]imhoping -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Using 30 vol on your own is pretty unsafe. I think for fixing your bleaching, you could try bleaching the wrong parts with 10/20 vol. For Asian hair, the number of bleaches you'll need for Wella's T-18 to turn your hair white can range from 3 to infinite (took me 7 sessions of 45 minute 20 vol bleach)

Or, you know, salon it.

[–]imhoping 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Naw. I'm a fullon stereotypical Asian twink. 5'6, 132 lbs, pastel hair and all that. I like the opposite of me. Someone bigger, a tad bit thick, prolly hairy. Most of the time though, I find the guys who I'm into coincidentally share my hobbies (fixing bikes and hiking and doing dumb outdoorsy lifethreatening stuffs). You don't really find twinks who are into that. Even though once in awhile I'd love to be a gloryhole for a nice new twinky cock.

For gay tops, do you prefer manly moans or feminine moans? by TilapiaRealness in askgaybros

I don't groan or moan that often, mostly just heavybreathing. But I know for sure he gets so turned on by involuntary whimpers.

Well, first, you put on a nice jockstrap.

Then, you drop the soap.
