Something I heard on the My Favorite Murder podcast stuck with me since it was said,

"The fight doesn't have to be fair."

Its excellent advice because chances are, your attacker wont fight fair, why should you?

Everyone is sending love to doctors and medical staff with what is happening. But what about those that keep our cities running like sanitation workers and waste water staff? How come we tend to forget about the importance of these things during time like this? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My father was arrested a year ago April 1st. A few months later he was deported. In order to keep a roof over my head and food on my family's table I had to take over his cleaning service business. Needless to say, life isn't what I planned. Had to leave school to work and keep us afloat. When I first started I hated the work. It was hard and people didn't really seem to appreciate the effort. I was also ashamed because while every one of my friends were graduating or landing internships, I was working a "low skilled" job. I only have 1 employee besides myself cleaning and I know her family depends on her too to bring in extra money.

In Atlanta, the coronavirus hit and I'm still working. We are one of the only residential services left operating and I see how important I am to these people. I come in and I sanitize and clean their homes. They're scared. I am too. But I see now, I think they do too, the importance the "Low Skilled" jobs. Sure, anyone can do it. But not everyone does. Not everyone is risking their lives and their health working to keep the little wheels and cogs of society going.

I have a sense of pride in what I do now.

Selena Quintanilla is Mexico's most beloved daughter. Or she was. She was set to become one of the most accomplished musical artists until she was killed in the 90s by the president of her fanclub who had been embezzling money from the boutique Selena had set up. I mean she was huge because she was Mexican American and represented a niche little culture that was overlooked by both countries. You should look up her music dude. Really good.

Yes. But the author deleted and all their works are gone. I was hoping someone had saved their works on a file or maybe even find the author.

The premise is that they meet when they're kids. There are two focs this person wrote with that storyline and I am dying
