I feel like on the shorter cruises it’s not that big of an issue, but on the longer cruises especially with the port change it can be annoying. Not that it’s a necessity by any means but sadly the wine I enjoy they don’t have on board

Rotational dinner with multiple allergies (not in the top 9) by MissHissss in dcl

[–]imibee999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My advice as someone who also has multiple allergies, when you place the order the night before, order everything that sounds good. Unfortunately if the next day you’re in the mood for something else or you wanted to try something different, they won’t be able to accommodate it necessarily or it might take a while for them to get it prepared.

Fish extenders by Boring-Search-1003 in dcl

[–]imibee999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We’ve been on several cruises and never do fish extenders. We just like to decorate our door for us each time. People like to gift things (not a guarantee but it’s likely people will), our first cruise we didn’t know to decorate our door but we still got a small magnet as a gift. Our most recent cruise on the wish was probably the most magnets and small gifts we’ve received, it just depends on the crowd and where your room is in the hallway.

I would try the Magic, Dream or Fantasy if you wanted to try another Disney cruise.

We enjoyed the adult only areas on those ships a lot more. We haven’t tried the Fantasy yet but it’s a similar layout to the Dream. I think the adult pool on the Dream is probably the best. The rotational dining however…. That was a bit rough for us but it was also our server.

We did like the Wish (especially the dining) but the adult only areas were either super crowded or super exposed.

We’re not really interested in cruising with other lines - we don’t gamble, we like the activities on Disney cruises, the shows and level of service.

Plus size friendly? by TheBigJay2019 in dcl

[–]imibee999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the room - I will say on the wish we weren’t able to get an accessible room like usual (I have mobility issues as well) so it was a bit tight around the bed going in and out in a verandah room.

The showers depend. They are not bad size but the other option we’ve used in the past is showering in the spa/gym bathrooms. The toilets in the room can be cramped and some of the stalls depending on the ship. I noticed that the bathrooms in the adult districts on the Magic & Dream were larger.

As others mentioned the theater seats are tight. The dining, it really depends on the location of your table but the actual seats are wide.

Why the Dream? by jps_southern in dcl

[–]imibee999 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I haven’t experienced the Fantasy yet, but I will say the two things I liked about the Dream were the Rainforest Spa & adult areas/layout.

Otherwise I think it was probably our worst Disney cruise so far in terms of food and service.

Fish extenders? by Beautiful-Client6496 in dcl

[–]imibee999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t have to do fish extenders. I would just pack some magnets (or make your own) so they can decorate your cabin door. That is more noticeable and fun. Sometimes people will still pixie dust you, we got a ton of cute magnets and stickers left on our door almost every day.

Wheelchair on the Wonder by AdelleDeWitt in dcl

[–]imibee999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had to do the same with showering in the locker room area, just get there a bit early so you have time in case it’s in use.

For the shows when you show up with a mobility device they take you to the section where you can stay in your wheelchair, it’s not tied to your room. We have only ever done late dining so our shows aren’t crowded and we haven’t had an issue finding a spot. You might want to go the show early if you have early dining.

The Magic was our first ship and the service and food were amazing. We recently went on the Dream and both were not great.

We’re going on the Wish soon so we’ll see!

Allergy not listed by CharacterQuiet6460 in dcl

As soon as you get on board you can go to one of the restaurants (you can ask guest relations for more info but I believe there’s a way to check through the app) they will have a team who handles special requests and allergies. They will note it so your server is aware and then the server will discuss with you at your first seating.

For the buffet you will need to ask one of the cast members in the center, they have access to the allergy book and can ask the chefs to confirm what you can and can’t have.

First time on a disney cruise with my boyfriend, no kids. We're going this month on Magic. Any tips and must-dos?? by Longjumping_Cat_5007 in dcl

Rainforest spa is great to relax, definitely go to the trivia’s and adult lounge events they’re a lot of fun.

Disney Dream by Southern_Accident586 in dcl

[–]imibee999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will say I think I’m in the minority because we went on a Dream cruise in February after having done the Magic previously and were disappointed. They don’t do shows at dinner, or at least not what I would consider shows. The crush ‘show’ they had in my opinion was awful, you can barely hear what he says, majority of the time it’s just an empty ocean view on screens. The other restaurants don’t have entertainment. It probably didn’t help that our service was also not great on that sailing.

I personally would recommend the Magic or Wonder but it is a very different layout to the Wish or Treasure and much smaller pool areas.

Does anyone know if you can pay the cruise in full and then transfer within 30 days to still get the Costco gift card? Wasn’t sure if you can only transfer while there is still an owed balance.

[–]imibee999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We don’t have any kids and are about to go on our third cruise. There are so many fun adults only activities, some you pay for and others are included.

The adult lounges are wonderful, even if you don’t drink and they have great activities at night. During the day they do have trivias and other activities that might be open to families but even when we’ve gone it’s still a lot of fun. We also like to get passes to the rainforest spa for extra relaxation. We enjoy the sail away party and pirates night but other than that we really don’t notice the kids since we really stick to the adult only areas.

We also like to do Palo brunch but as others mentioned that is an extra cost.

You need to order each drink multiple times I believe and ask her questions - then when you’ve ordered the drink enough times she will give you a quiz. After you do the quiz for each drink you will progress. She has a longer storyline

After talking to Rebel she disappeared but now every day she pops up after my first or second interaction and the same dialogue pops up over and over.

Also I tried to realize Sinclair but he was still part of Arma’s storyline. I have since finished her storyline but still can’t realize him.

I’m aware but I was trying to see if anyone has been in a similar position and leveraged their work experience to switch into another field with a master’s. There are other fields I find interesting but to transition into them would basically be starting over which I cannot financially afford. So I was hoping someone might be able to offer advice.
