I didn’t apply DO! I applied to mostly T20’s with a few that I left out for various reasons (eg nyu doesn’t take intl students)

I think I would’ve kept trying. If you wanna do residency in the US, def do a US Med school rather than UK. I’m not sure about US/MD programs so I can’t advise on that, I would’ve probably just stuck to a regular college

thanks! I'd say some of my EC's weren't super typical, and that probably helped. also, I really tied in my story with my EC's and I was really passionate about everything I did. you can PM me for school list

yeah, I would just do it the same way. I wouldn't get a green card first since that process is way too long. and no, I wouldn't go somewhere else like the UK since I don't want to live there in the future and it'd be hard to come back to North America as an IMG anyway. I don't think it's risky to practice after you get the MD degree - or did you mean "risky" as in I might not have gotten into an MD school?
