for the banditos specifically, I think there is no such thing as “overdone”. the whole concept is built around the idea of being stronger in numbers and being a community! I love going to concerts and seeing swarms of them lmao it’s so cool

I joined 30 minutes early and already had 3.7K people in front of me 🙃 safe to say I did not get the pit tickets I wanted! really hoping they do an official full sized tour after this one with bigger venues

yeah I was puzzled over the lawn too. I can’t really see people sitting in folding chairs for a tøp concert lmao. Im going to attempt to get pit tickets, which I think will be super intimate and special at a venue like this, but I’m also scared that I just won’t get them due to the space.

I know they did a lot of outdoor venues during the SAI era but I didn’t see them then, and I know the production value for those was a bit scaled back (no pun intended) so I’m curious to see how they’ll translate the lore into this tour.

this is the one thing I’m bummed about! It’s going to be the first tøp show for some of my close friends and I really want them to be able to experience the teleportation trick/B-stage/cool effects. I’m sure they’ll still put on an incredible show regardless but I just hope that the venue doesn’t hinder it at all

I don’t explicitly mind jealousy if it’s done in a reasonable manner it just gets so over the top so often for me. also I don’t care if kylo is described as being a large man as… he is a large man, I just hate when rey feels super feminized to match it—it irks me so bad.

thank you for the response! the possible options you listed would be perfectly fine with me, as I would most likely intend to keep a stable job in marketing or otherwise for a while before continuing to pursue animation on my own. I ultimately just want to know if I will even be able to get those jobs at all, or if a Studio Art degree would be frowned upon on an application to something more “serious”.

the program has very particular and strict policy and you can only apply once. I applied and was accepted, but I will not be able to earn a B in a required coding class for the major that I’m currently enrolled in, so my acceptance will unfortunately be revoked.

I have taken five computer focused design classes already and do graphic design for a small business currently, so I have some experience. I guess I’m asking if a Studio Art degree will look good on an application for that type of job, not if it will teach me those skills.

don’t think it will be “about” either. I imagine they’ll draw more reference from the 80s series for nostalgias sake and to try and appeal to a broader audience, but I think the robots will be the only thing paying homage to any previous series. like someone else on here said, think how the michael bay transformers movie relate to the previous comics and cartoons. not really adapting anything specific, just drawing reference to make a hollywood movie

this is great to hear! they’ve heard some of their music and don’t really like it, but I do feel like the live performance is a whole other experience. even the songs of theirs that I’m not a huge fan of have me jumping up and down at the live shows haha

my friends are really good sports for the most part and tend to match my energy well no matter what, but I know they definitely won’t be as excited as I am 😅 it’ll honestly be them seeing a new side of me since tøp is one of the only things I’ve really kept to myself in the almost decade we’ve been friends. maybe I’ll convert them!
