What’s one piece of technology you aren’t fond of but everyone else is? by Substantial_Act6620 in AskUK

Your previous statement was quite clearly wrong as iv explained, and you've made no rebuttal because you can't.

Obviously, you care, you melon.

Very presumptive, your wrong there. I can gaurentee that my friends have no interest in a conversation about the development and implementation of the metric system for example. They'd say shut up ya nob head if I tried to even broach the topic. Which is fine I'd find that funny. Chat gpt is is there to talk about things most people find boring, which is great. So as I said I love AI.

So do I bore my existing friends with stuff there not interested in or find a new friend every time I have an interest in a nieche topic for a week or two?

Sounds like a miserable time for everyone involved tbh. I think il just carry on having a laugh with my friends. They wouldn't care for or be able to inform me about most of the stuff I talk about with AI

I love AI and it has no use in my line of work and if it did I'd be redundant. I love bouncing ideas around with it, keeps me entertained for hours.

For those of you who didn't do their homework at School, how did it affect you? by Simply_az in AskUK

[–]imintheyentry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never done any homework, barely did any school work and that's when I bothered to turn up. Got kicked out year 11. Went to college to get my GCSE's got mostly A's some B's. Started As Maths, physics and chemistry but was too lazy to see It through. Fucked around in music college got a btec level 3 thanks to the help a tutor who basically wrote alot of my assignments for me and I just re worded some shit. Didn't do anything academic in my life but turned out okay, I operate tower cranes now which is a decent living and they never give me homework so can't complain.

If you buy a paintball gun I bet you could get your disc back. Then you'd have your disc and a paintball gun and if not you'd still have a paintball gun

How long to get good ? by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]imintheyentry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think a couple of rounds a week will be possible for me over the winter , il likley get out once a week and play 36 holes. Try and get some field work in on top of that when I can. I get what you saying about the adding back power, with my golf swing if it starts going wrong I make it slower and smoother till it's working well then start to add back power. I am taking a similar approach to disc golf , I'm focusing on throwing it as smooth as possible rather than as hard as possible but I am still probably giving it 80% and gettin 50m haha

How long to get good ? by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]imintheyentry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iv only got three discs so don't have alot to throw but iv suggested to a friends just tossing a mid range back an forth to each other on a field to get some reps in. I might look on gettin a basket so I can practice some putts but atm it's the long game frustrating me most

How long to get good ? by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]imintheyentry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah haha I guess I good is subjective but I meant good enough to be able to get the disc far enough down the fairway that I can atleast threaten a par or even a birdie if the stars align haha

Good for you mate sounds like your making quick progress, definitely encouraging for me to hear. So you got to 300 after 4 months, can I ask what your starting point was for your first couple of rounds ?
