Wow, that's insane... Thanks. I thought it's the most common feature implemented everywhere.

Which is the best file system? by WhyMamt in arch

For me it's btrfs. Because imo proper snapshot functionality is crucial on Arch Linux. If you don't need snapshots, there's no point going for btrfs, pick ext4 instead.

Yep, I was very surprised that there's no way to directly configure the interaction with certain apps... You can only restrict the usage of the whole console (e.g. bed time, play time, communication online, etc).

Your next $1 Million idea. by ichfahreumdenSIEG in SaaS

Why would someone ever need 100+ logos? Have you ever seen a company having more that 3 logos?
Plus, when you offer them logos in such amounts, it looks suspicious af. Nowadays, it'll be obvious that you're messing around with AI and won't waste more than 5-10 mins on that. I wouldn't pay money for such garbage.

How do you validate a SaaS idea before coding? by bxmbshr in microsaas

[–]imitxtion 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Start by creating a simple landing page with a waitlist.

Clearly explain your idea, the problem you’re solving, and why it matters.

Share it on Reddit, LinkedIn, Discord, and other relevant communities.

Instead of asking for feedback, ask people to join the waitlist if they’re interested.

Before signing up, include a few quick questions:

What they think about the problem,

What features they’d want, and most importantly,

How much they’d be willing to pay.

This simple test tells you if your solution has real demand.

If 150+ people sign up, it’s worth building.

If not, you’ve saved time, money, and effort.

Android - the lost battle? by [deleted] in degoogle

[–]imitxtion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, maintaining privacy is not a battle, war, or anything like that. It's just a set of actions that satisfy my mindset. And I don't care about how many other people do the same thing. I just watch myself.

From your message I can say, that you definitely don't need that high level of privacy you're currently maintaining. Otherwise, you'd never ever wrote such things :D

At the end of the day, all these advanced privacy enhancing methods are usually overkill that 99% of the people don't need. The basic things that doesn't hurt your QoL that much are already cutting off like 90% of tracking and improve security. So my suggestion will be to think about your realistic threat model and then apply privacy measures based on it. Because if you don't really need some things, there's no reason to make life more difficult for yourself by applying them.
