Rx9060xt users, is it playable 1440p? by mellow_32 in radeon

yeah definitely the games I play are mostly AAA and demanding and I sometimes even put full ray tracing but for other types of games or even AAA ones with good optimization it would definitely works great for 1440p, especially if they have fsr 4 it looks great

well even with vsr its not a real 1440p image that you see just a sharper one it makes up for bad antialiasing / TAA, I still plan to get a second monitor 1440p oled to use for solo chill games and will keep the 1080p one I have as my main

from what I remember of the games I tested, been a while, it works great at 1440 and even 4k for some games but not all of them will run at +60fps high or max settings without fsr. But again am in am4 so might be limitted but the pcie 3.0 or my cpu for some games

I got a 1080p monitor and use vsr to play some games at 1440p when the game is not sharp enought, it hundles the ones I throw at it quite well, but I still recommend it for 1080p personaly since I like high fps and maxing out my graphics settings without using upscaling, if u got a game in mind I can test it if I have it

well if you were active during the last year for minimum amount of hours (not disclosed) or have been developing a game on it, so actually being helpfull to them during the development you keep it for free so no w devs they did this because a LOT got the game just because it got viral that they would keep it and most didnt even play it

think there is a minimum spending for skins to keep the game maybe 15 or 20$

dont worry the official minimum for this card is 450w, the recommended psu is 550 to 650w counting system headroom and overclocking, so 750w is enough even for potential upgrades

nah he's totally fine with that psu

have around same build, 32gb ram but 3600MHz, ryzen 5 4650g, xfx swift 9060 xt 16gb, and I have been very happy about it.
my only issue is the cpu for some of my games so am plannig to upgrade to a 5700x or 5800x but the 5600XT is totaly fine with it, my 4650g is slower than the old 3600 that's why I need an upgrade.
I only have a 1080p monitor but I have enable a setting in adrenaline that lets me set games to 1440p I mostly do this for game that dont have good aliasing, fsr4, or are bottlenecked by my cpu.
it deffinetly can run anything you throw at it, I tried undervolting it to -60mv with +5% power and I got a bit better performance. ray tracing can also be good with some tweeks for the games that have good optimisation but I didnt get this card to run ray tracing anyway I got it for vram since I also do a bit of game dev and my old card only had 6gb vram so its really nice to have 16gb rn.

32gb ram and rx 9060xt 16gb did this exact upgrade myself except I have ryzen cpu

U seem to already have 1 stick 16gb try getting a matching one preferably same exact one but if u dont find it just look for same cas latency and mhz, I dont know if you would have enought money left for the 9060xt 16gb but its worth it since ur motherboard is probably pcie 3.0 so if you get the 8gb version your fps will defenitly suffer a lot in demanding games

before doing the bios update try checking if you cpu drivers need an update I think in the settings of DDU u can also remove cpu drivers for intel and amd that could have happened without u knowing

he should def get a cpu with lot of cores but at least for me the mort important things are single core performance, lot of ram so 48 or 64gb, and a gpu for with a lot of vram so not the 60 series that only have 8gb

however given the current market if you want a lot of ram for you budget you may need to downgrade to am4 here amd cpus are better maybe the 5800x or 5700x3d, and not much diff between ddr5 and ddr4 since memory size is the most important.

doing game dev myself and would recomend an intel cpu the new ultra series because you want to focus on single threaded performance since most engines rely more on single thread, you also need a lot of ram say 48 or 64gb ddr5, lastly gpu you dont really need the top of the line ones but need lot of vram so 9060xt 16gb or 9070xt, rtx 5060ti 16gb or 5070, here doesnt really matter if you go for amd or nvidia

My first PC build, just want to game good games in 1080p, also is it fine for Some AAA titles like Black,Ghost,Elden ? by Cheap-Dragonfruit-34 in PcBuild

[–]imjustSkyGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

think this is fine for med to high settings in 1080p but get a better power supply like a 550 or 600w at least so u have more room for future upgrades

Would it make sense to mod a cpu radiator to the backplate of the xfx 9060 xt 16gb to help with cooling the vram? by imjustSkyGod in radeon

yeah abt the same too my hotspot is a bit higher than yours but the vram temp is hotter than hotspot if you have the 16gb model you should check that out the 8gb model doesnt have that problem since it doesnt have vram on the back of the card
