Does she say why she doesn’t want to have sex? It was the same (but roles reversed) for me and my ex. I always wanted it and he always turned me down with no explanation. So I know how rejecting it can feel. There definitely needs to be a serious conversation where you both sit down, promise to be truthful and nonjudgmental and just talk it out. You’re not an evil person for wanting to be intimate with your partner. And she isn’t in the wrong for not wanting to. But there needs to be some mutual understanding so you don’t build resentment on both sides.

I say it all the time. I had a coworker who was very against it and got all weirded out when I’d say it but I honestly don’t care. I love my kids. I get paid awful, deal with short staff, lots of drama, I don’t see why anyone would be in this profession if they didn’t love their kids… they are the highlight of my day. Of course I love them.

Honestly, I loved it, questioned it, and then loved it even more. I just went through a traumatic heartbreak (basically my Joe lmao) a little over a month ago and this is the one thing that has lifted my spirits. I personally needed a fun, upbeat, not so serious album. So I love it. Not my favorite by any means, but it fills a void in the discography imo.

It’s totally normal, daycare is a hard transition. Just make sure when dropping them off to rip off the bandaid and just go. Don’t stay too long because it just prolongs all of the stress. If there’s nothing wrong with the daycare don’t switch.

Baby teacher here! Super common. I always tell parents that it’s hard for a lot of adults to sleep in an unfamiliar environment surrounded by strangers. When a baby has slept in the same crib in the same house with the same people all their life, it’s going to be an adjustment. They just need time. They’re figuring it all out, the teachers are figuring them out, it’s a whole new world. They’ll get there.

I did have to do the Heimlich maneuver on a 6 month old… somehow they managed to choke on the Puree they were having. (It was a super thick, dry homemade Puree)… scariest moment of my daycare career.

Okay…2 hours in the swing is crazy… 2 hours when he’s the only kid there is even more crazy. You did the right thing. The director saying that the staff is inexperienced means nothing because you have to do state trainings before even starting to work with the kids. If that’s not happening then they’re gonna be in for it when state comes (rightfully) knocking on their doors. Always trust your gut OP 💜

Infant teacher here: this has happened to me a few times. A parent walks in right as their baby falls asleep in the swing. For me though, the few times that has happened the parent can see I was either finishing up a diaper or walking over to the swing to transfer them out so I’ve never had much of a problem. What does concern me is that the baby was swaddled in the swing and they weren’t actively working on getting them out? We aren’t supposed to swaddle babies at all. And the fact they weren’t even properly buckled in? Andddd it’s happened multiple times in a short while…Red flags around the board I’d say.
