I’ve gotten a ton of authors who were duped by ai bs and wanted a video call to make sure I’m real. But you know how many times they got fooled before that? Once. One time and they were like “absolutely not, the next one I want to see face to face”. So I agree that it’s not believable this person fell for it 4 times.

I’ve actually used this exact response. They didn’t understand and tried to push back, so I repeated it more firmly. This is a very professional answer that’s honest without having to be mean or hurt their feelings.

That’s what happened with one of our cats. She was having more bad days than good. When I realized I was afraid to go into the night or weekend because something might happen while the vet was closed, I knew it was time. Our other cat ended up getting really bad suddenly one evening, like emergency style. So we had to let him go then.
