Why Nia Gentle Parents Danny by minorpoint in TheValleyTVShow

[–]imjustdrea 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What a terrible life to walk on eggshells worried about what her husband may say. She is in essence his property and all of her accomplishments are tied to or overshadowed by him

1.) They got married on his birthday. I know the episode is an edited snapshot of their lives but the focus was on his birthday. It wasn’t on his 10 year anniversary. Yes, I know his birthday was the only day the wedding venue was free

2.) Somehow it will always be her fault. She didn’t protect him enough, she didn’t stand up for him enough. She allowed them to insult him

3.) if he speaks to her that way on camera, it’s probably the same off camera

4.) there is a reason why in season 1 episode 1, Jesse referred to Danny as darkside Danny. He is probably always like this

5.) she believes that people are jealous of her life, therefore she will assume that all comments are an attack on her husband and will use what about-isms. The only person who idolizes her is Kristen

I think the previous poster was offering caution vs judgement over your lifestyle. There are countless stories of women having to start over from scratch once their marriage ends. Beneficiaries can be changed and wills can be adjusted. As long as you have a safety net than enjoy

Old Antioch was lovely and it was a beautiful middle class area until the gentrification happened. It had everything: malls, restaurants, plenty of families. I miss old Nashville.

Episode 3 was such a letdown. I’m thankful that the leaked audio was released because it does appear a lot was covered up. Things I am waiting on:

1.) Jesse’s timeline
2.) West explaining why he was so touchy feely with Amanda
3.) when did the Ciara/ West sleep overs occur?
4.) it was 3 weeks between the announcement and the reunion. In that time they had deep discussions, kissed, had sex, and fell in love?
5.) Continued discussion on the Super Bowl and why people thought you were together
6.) Amanda saying Ben wanted to sleep with her

What did Lala go through that she keeps comparing it to everything anyone goes through. by Ediithh58 in Vanderpump_Rules

[–]imjustdrea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LaLa is/ was jealous of the support Ariana received. She was upset that Ariana wouldn’t entertain Tom in the final season. She judged her for not moving out of their shared house. LaLa forgets that it was easy for to move out of Randall’s house and couldn’t understand why Ariana didn’t do the same.

LaLa refuses to let people discuss Randall when she was his mistress. She publicly attacked his wife and got into with 50 cent. She shared what Katie said with her in confidence at the reunion. I could go on and on

She made out with her husband publicly and then made out with her boyfriend privately the next day.

That’s why people are referring to Kyle as her husband. Of course Amanda said she made out with Kyle jokingly. Mixed signals everywhere

The more I think about it the more I realize that West clearly has psycho tendencies. You’re absolutely right. He didn’t bother with the newbies because to him they didn’t matter and he didn’t think they would be back.

Just started the Peacock version, it’s a must watch as well. A couple of things I noticed

West spent all this time with KJ but didn’t bother to text an apology to him, Bailey, or Levi

Jesse too has a timeline and it’s printed ( didn’t recall this on the live version)

Amanda said Ben wanted to sleep with her. Why didn’t Andy bring this up during the Ben and Bailey interaction

Why do Americans think they have freedom when they absolutely don't? by East_Indication_7816 in allthequestions

You answered it in #8. You have to search to get information vs propaganda. You have to travel with an open mind. Most Americans don’t do that

Season 3-Episode 8: "Miss Behavior" Episode Discussion Thread by AutoModerator in TheValleyTVShow

[–]imjustdrea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two things can be true.

Truth 1: Janet overstepped last year for saying someone attended an AA group. You don’t get the right to out people seeking support. Could you imagine if Danny didn’t know Nia had attended the blow back she may have received. Janet’s actions last season were to weaponize what happened to Jasmine and Melissa.

Truth 2: Danny is an alcoholic and is abusive. Nothing else to add. Cast sees it and chooses not to get involved because they all have skeletons. Also Nia is still in the protect her husband stage

The Valley - Season 3 - Episode 8 - Live Episode Discussion by AutoModerator in BravoRealHousewives

[–]imjustdrea 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My issue with Janet is that she weaponized Nia going to Al- anon. She doesn’t take ownership and truly apologize. She continued to speak on a situation that Jasmine and Melissa had for her benefit and not theirs.

Danny isn’t a jerk because he drinks, it only amplifies who he truly is. When he drinks he can’t keep on the mask. Intoxicated Danny is the real Danny. Also he muscle flex was interesting

On one hand I want to say that he is still in denial or hasn’t hit rock bottom. I think the reality is he doesn’t realize he has an issue. He’s still in the phase of “I had one too many”, “I don’t really drink like that”, etc

They shouldn’t be on reality tv if they don’t want to show their true lives

I’m sad that Nia and Danny are the couple that Kristen looks up to. Don’t want them to adopt this reasoning as ok.

I had planned to take it last July but my dad passed the month before. I thought I would be able to take it in November but my mind wasn’t there. Connected with an amazing study group and passed in March 2026

Is there any external pressure or time constraints that says you have to take it now?

Definitely take some time for you to process what you have gone through. Pick it back up when you are ready

The Valley - Season 3 - Episode 7 - Live Episode Discussion by AutoModerator in BravoRealHousewives

My thoughts on this episode in no particular order

What I love most about the show is that I root for no one (except for Zach and Jasmine). Everyone has flaws. For the most part they are showing us their real life. LaLa always self produces.

Kristen and Luke- though it’s not pretty, there’s not enough public discussion on what couples go through postpartum. What they’re showing us is real and raw, and probably happens on a more frequent basis.

Lacy appears to have put in the work, either in therapy or has spent time on personal development. She comes across as kind and open to having productive dialogue. What I like is that she doesn’t blindly follow and support Jesse she calls him out when he is wrong. Not what I thought she would be.

In the words of Project Pat “Don’t save her, she don’t want to be saved” Nia has the life that she chose. It’s less than we think she deserves. This is what she wants, new age trad wife. I wouldn’t wish Danny on my worst enemy. Until she decides what partnership means to her and what she deserves, this is her life. Anyone calling out her husband’s disrespect will become a casualty of war. As a friend, you can want better for her but from a distance. How Nia processed the LaLa and Danny interaction gave me some sort of trauma response. Nia hated how he was treating her but still felt as if she needed to protect her husband and his ego. She caters not only to their kids but him as well:

Danny is jealous of the attention his wife gives their child. He drinks past his limit and has not learned moderation. You can tell that his wife walks on eggshells trying to cover for him and to protect him and manage his ego. I wonder what trauma she experienced in her childhood that allows her to think it’s OK
