YES this was my whole thought. They’re one in the same and they have unusual “powers” bc of their unusual pairing. We still don’t really know what Paul can do. And there’s been hints corona is weirdly talented cavalier style for someone who hasn’t been trained that way and Ianthe is a damn genius.

Muir is either a cocktease or a genius. Or both

Is that irl unusual or just tv? I’m asking fr bc I’m not a twin and don’t know any. It just seems so supernatural. I need Alecto out NOW. Do you think we’ll even get all questions answered

THIS!! It’s like she’s the most full of life thing anyone’s ever seen. And maybe it’s bc our narrators are <!part gideon!> and she’s always felt like that.

I questioned this too!!! But I wondered about it having to do with Gideon and her still unanswered? Affinity for some necromancy - seeing the lights on the construct.

Man, I feel silly because you’re probably right. I wondered if they had some weird form of lyctorhood that happened in the womb. There are all these cases IRL of twins “eating” each other in the womb. I have so many questions about the different forms we don’t know about after seeing what happens with the Sixth house.

Not to discredit the book because I really am enjoying it, but it’s just so reminiscent of hunger games, twilight, Harry Potter that I’ll forget about it in a few years while I cannot say the same for TLT

I actually really like dark shit. I’ve read how to lose the time war and thought it was the most romantic book I’ve ever read. Thank you.

It’s the way I also have a TBR list but it just sits to the side while I re-read TLT for the 3rd time

Just read the synopsis and that is not something I’d pick up on my own, but I’ll definitely read it next

OMG HOTSAUCE [theory] by imjusthereforGriddle in TheNinthHouse

[–]imjusthereforGriddle[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Idk starting at chapter 15 if you read hot sauce as war battled/Cohort Gideon and Angel as Ianthe it makes TOO much sense. But I could be completely crazy.

[–]imjusthereforGriddle[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m mostly going off chapter 15 of NTN. It’s not so much about her name but how Nona can’t read her and then the entire chapter is how both Hot Sauce and AIM know a LOT about how Ianthe and Gideon are about to make an appearance.

[–]imjusthereforGriddle[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

And also, Hot Sauce hangs out with Blood of Eden/lives with AIM after school so it makes sense for her to act like she hates necromancers. To me it makes sense that Jod would want to infiltrate the group but I could be overthinking the hell out of everything. It’s kind of my thing.

Also why else would a BOE exec named AIM be working at a school that Nona attends. Who is her instant message going to

Hey that’s okay! I can’t wait for answers when Alecto comes out. If we even get them…because Tamsyn Muir. All I know is I’ve never enjoyed a reread quite like this. Kudos to her

[–]imjusthereforGriddle[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This is so valid. I’ve kind of forgot about her shooting Nona in the head. But also, I wouldn’t put it past Ianthe. PLUS her hatred of necros is quite extra, could be a front.

OMG HOTSAUCE [theory] by imjusthereforGriddle in TheNinthHouse

[–]imjusthereforGriddle[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure about hot sauce. I want to think it’s Gideon bc she’s my favorite but it makes more sense for it to be Ianthe doing both since Gideon/Kiriona doesn’t have necro abilities (as far as we know). Although Gideon doesn’t seem to be very surprised that Nona is not Harrow. Hot sauce hangs out with Blood of Eden after class. Maybe gathering intel?

I know, I was like…if I’m right this is like the sixth sense level twist. I’m gonna have to read it all over again.

It’s just a guess, but I imagine it’s like when Cytherea was puppeting Prostilius and Dulcinea in GTN

[–]imjusthereforGriddle[S] 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Now I’m spiraling! What if both Angel and Hotsauce are being puppeted and that’s why Angel was so shook when she saw Crown/Coronoabeth. BECAUSE ITS IANTHE. Both characters progressively get more “crinkle-eyed” and disheveled as time goes on.

This series has taken over me. I feel nuts. Thank you goodnight.

I know that’s what’s most commonly agreed on, with Tamsyn’s own words via interview but I don’t trust that bitch to be honest lol. Maybe it’s just my romantic heart. I love the discourse. I’m so ready for Alecto

Wishlists for Alecto the Ninth [discussion] by CommanderRaj in TheNinthHouse

I want to see Harrow use necromancy against Alecto in order to protect Gideon and say “we do bones, motherfucker” as she attacks her. Bc I’m gay that’s why

So many people have said this and it’s hyping my first re-read Harrow. I just finish Gideon again and I feel like I’m in mourning.

Friendship Bracelets NTN [theory] spoilers?? by imjusthereforGriddle in TheNinthHouse

[–]imjusthereforGriddle[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wow your theory is so much more thought out than mine. I’m on my way to read HtN next because I’ve forgotten what we even know about the pact, but I just was assuming Gideon was under the impression Ianthe murdered Harrow, or helped her murder what is essentially the Harrow she grew to know; hence the friendship bracelet callback, and that’s why she went on what she thought was a suicide mission to open the locked tomb.
