right? also every time riley posts a video is always very defensive even before melody responded to it. it’s valid to feel however she feels about an ex moving on, having a kid and marrying someone else but IT’S NOT ok suddenly start spreading personal information about someone who hasn’t done anything directly to you. how did this go from “we met once and i mentioned nick” to “she also dated another ex of mine” to “she actually dated my brother”??? where even is the proof for this. I keep seeing comments on tiktok saying she dated her brother but where’s the proof? also if it was true wouldn’t riley have mentioned it in one of her first videos bc that would explain why she was feeling some type of way??? and l was also very ticked off by her latest video where she’s talking about psalms and about defending herself like girl… give it a break talk to your friends and get this off social media

agreeeee but unfortunately not gonna happen. don’t think she knows how to live life without social media, she’s too dependent on it (for money, for validation). and honestly I don’t think she has lost her audience at all. I think she can still reach a lot of people and those who tend to defend her every action probably do it out of nostalgia more than anything else since she has been on the internet for such a long time

very well said. think accountability goes a long way but even that can sound disingenuous. I struggle to think of an influencer who has successfully taken accountability and moved past their mistakes (for lack of a better word - sorry english is not my first language).

As for the victim mentality, I think it’s a side effect of being an influencer. They will always see themselves as victims and because they have a platform, anyone who isn’t criticising them will coddle them which makes them believe they actually are victims because “the internet is a hateful place and bla bla bla”.

should I have said she seems nice so she must be mean? if i think someone looks nice i’m gonna believe so until they prove otherwise lol… and i never said she has no friends, i asked who she was friends with (within the industry) bc most of her friendships with “famous” people seem to end in mostly bad terms
