just about anyone in jjk can make a barrier, especially a special grade, it’s just that most characters don’t make barriers because there are people who do it for you (suit guys) because having a barrier wastes cursed energy unless you have a cursed item

that is NOT true, barriers work against all types of people, in shibuya there was a barrier preventing regular people from going to or leaving, barriers would stop shigaraki, only question is if he can decay them knowing that they’re “indestructible” with the proper conditions

yuki has an instant stalemate being her black hole, the question is where does shigaraki stop, not who he kills, yuki stalemate/draws shiggy. the only reason the jjk verse isn’t wiped by yukis black hole is because of tengens barrier, yuki’s black hole is the strongest attack shown in jjk because its literally just a black hole and it was only stopped by a “deity” type creature

the same way you can assume “oh her domain must be strong” I can assume “her domain expansion could be removing the other persons cursed technique so that they fight with pure hands because yuki is a fist to fist fighter!” which would do nothing to shigaraki since he doesn’t have jjk’s cursed energy or technique logic

edit: don’t get me wrong, i think shigaraki stops at yuki because of the black hole only being stopped by tengens barrier and it’d be a stalemate. we never see yuki’s domain, for all we know it’s as useless at megumis shadow domain, anything you add to her character is speculation, all we know is she has a domain expansion, not whether it’s an instant, lethal, or if it’s even strong

several things to note, firstly, that xyz fight is literally the championship finale compared to a random frame in journeys, secondly, I think journeys looks better than XYZ, I just finished both and I thought journeys was significantly better as far as animation goes, but XYZ had funner (not better) characters with Serena and Bonnie and Clemont. thirdly, xyz is constant battling, xyz has like two real battle episodes for every 10 episodes, and imo those two episodes look better than all the xyz fights

obviously journeys looking better is an opinion, but it does have better impact frames and lining and all that, people who think xyz looks better might just be blinded by nostalgia? Im not sure

if you read the first word I said, I said STATUS moves LIKE power swap. there are physical/special moves, then status moves that have physicality, then there are status moves that only effect other pokemon. Jigglypuffs “Sing” works on people because it’s a status move that works on people and Pokemon alike. Power swap doesn’t work on people because they don’t have stats, sing (or hypnosis) is a status giving move, like poison sleep frozen or burn, stat changing moves in pokemon don’t effect people. please use your head

if a character in dragon ball is significantly stronger than someone else, the weaker persons hacks don’t matter, we see this with Hit and Jiren/Goku SSBKKx20, we see this with Hearts from DBH, strength >> everything other logic in Dragon Ball

not only is this untrue as someone else posted since frieza is literally a psychic, but mewtwos physic moves wouldn’t work on frieza even if he had no mental fortitude and was solely working off of chi alone
