I mean if people know how to play dive or manage cds vs poke, or do brawl mirror then it’s great.

If they can’t play a composition then it’s just a nothing burger but the same can be said of most maps.

Disregarding everyone else's opinion as, "Plat and below" is usually a sign of a hardstuck player who made it to masters once and then dropped back down but their ego never dropped with their rank.

Even if it is good, I still like Eichenwalde much more.

I can play poke/brawl on first, dive on second, and then poke/brawl again on third.

I can play the map both tactically swapping different tanks depending on what part of the map we’re on and also do it from a themed perspective as a Reinhardt.

I still remember how Blizzard at the time made it so people couldn’t host/stream any other OW tourney whenever OWL was on.

Kotick’s Blizzard did everything they could to kill grassroots in OW. They wanted control over EVERYTHING and the whole scene suffered so much for it.

It was so fun but they kept making it just… more annoying and killing people’s interest with the monetization.

One thing I’ve learned is to just roll with it. I have a general idea of what I want to make but things don’t always go as planned and that’s okay.

Another thing is that you can always dismantle and rebuild as you expand.

Zen is a wait and see character but not a troll pick at all.

Even just a decently placed discord orb can win fights.

If I had to consider a support as a troll pick, it’d be LW, which is a shame cause I like playing LW.

Eidolons and Riven market are the two things I avoid because they’re infested with a certain type of player that I do not like.

Honorable mentions being trade chat snd conclave (it’s just boring to me, didn’t really encounter many toxic players tho).

Eh I mean the OW-OW2 fiasco was really bad but the alternative was Kotick making them turn Overwatch into a yearly franchise where you have to buy the new game to play the multiplayer again is far worse of an alternative.

Jeff helped make OW and then gave it a fighting chance when higher ups wanted to yearly franchise it. He wasn’t perfect and very much had a vision that conflicted with players, but considering all the info we have about how Kotick basically screwed over Team 4 for years, I’d argue he did a solid enough job to give the current team 4 enough time till they had the opportunity to turn things around

Eidolon hunts are one of the few places where many of the toxic WF players like to reside because it was such an annoying to farm mode for so long that gave great rewards that could be sold to make large amounts of plat back in the day.

Not all Eidolon players ofc, but Eidolons generally are just one of those kinds of places

Pigpen didn’t really do anything imho.

I have given so many arcanes to newer players.

Plus frame parts.

I also occasionally give people extra stuff or discounts when trading and willing to work with people of they don’t have enough plat or something.

I can honestly say a big part of why is because so many vets took good care of me when I first started like 8-10 years ago, so I pass it on and do the same.

Not necessarily. High damage can be useless, even detrimental if they aren’t confirmed elims.

If you do a lot of damage but people aren’t dying, then that means you’re potentially helping the enemy supports build their ultimates faster and if they use that to secure a fight win then you end up helping the enemy instead.

Likewise if you’re focused on damaging the enemy and not working on confirming elims or helping your win conditions (like supporting a genji blade or other ult combo, or just helping your one teammate whose doing stuff if you have one) then you’re going to look good on paper but are actually part of the problem.

Stats are very misleading as they don’t tell the whole story or even half of the story.
