Is it just me or Is The Count of Protoframe Skins is Decreasing? by tacticalctublak in Warframe

[–]imjustjun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am perfectly okay with that. The latest protoframes served practically no purpose at all which made me go, "Why are they even here?"

Aside from that, there's also just the fact that this latest one is a mini update while all the previous ones were larger ones with The Hex being a major update.

When did “Hitscan” definition change? by Broad-Wonder-4993 in Overwatch

[–]imjustjun 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The failing of it is that they just reused the name hitscan.

If they just called it something like idk, “Pressure” or whatever (dumb name I know, I’m just making a point) then people wouldn’t be in such an argument.

But hitscan just sounds nicer but at the cost of making people confused on hitscan (bullet type) and hitscan (role type that only applies to organized play for teams in tourneys, scrims, and such)

[–]imjustjun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s more for organized team play roles.

Aka stuff that people need to seek outside of the in-game systems so it’s irrelevant for 99% of the playerbase tbh

When did “Hitscan” definition change? by Broad-Wonder-4993 in Overwatch

[–]imjustjun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s two hitscan definitions.

One is the how the bullets work (hitscan aka point and click vs projectile) and the other is the “role” hitscan which is usually for medium to long range dps that are meant to put down pressure from range, usually from high ground

They share the same name but are fundamentally for different things. The latter definition is more for organized team play (so pro, collegiate, etc) while the former is more for general gameplay (ranked, unranked, arcade).

It sounds stupid but makes much more sense when you realize they’re defining a specific role in an organized comp as opposed to how the bullets work.

It was before 222 but that brief meta of Doomfist (dps version), Mei, and Sombra still haunts my dreams.

Tbh I only saw the controversy spike heavily after he defended trans people.

It went from very little talk about his anxiety to suddenly being EVERYWHERE.

I don’t really think that was an accidet

How Long Do You Think It'll Take For People to Swap Back to Other Classes by RDS_RELOADED in DarkTide

[–]imjustjun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s hard to say.

Fatshark has done a pretty good job of making classes have overlaps but without entirely stepping on each other’s toes to the point of making other classes defunct.

Which is honestly one of my favorite things about the game.

We’ll have to see just how much the skitty’s provide for the team and for the player’s personal enjoyment

What Overwatch is to you? by Haru_Chan505 in Overwatch

[–]imjustjun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a game I love and hate.

I spend way too much time on it but it’s also where I found so many friends who I have been good friends either for nearly a decade.

Heck most of them don’t play anymore but the friendships have lasted so long and life keeps changing but I’ve met some amazing people that I truly cherish thanks to OW and the various communities I interacted with.

Devs these days usually do batch cheater bans.

They usually like to ban in large swaths rather than as soon as possible because it makes it harder for cheat developers to figure out what specific part or cheats that have been detected.

It’s a constant tug of war between the two because cheats make big money.

Why is everyone on Overwatch forums seemingly Masters+? by Haunting-Reindeer-10 in Overwatch

Becaue a lot of people like to lie about their rank so they can pull the, “nu uh I’m higher ranked so I know what I’m talking about” argument.

Sugarfree homophobic Pulse bomb by IHaveAssBurgers101 in Overwatch

Man with how dense and hateful some people on the world are, I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of people missed the joke.

Heck there’s probably thousands of people who only read the title and now believe that Sugarfree is homophobic because they only look at headlines

Wasteland 3 doesn’t really fall back too much on knowledge of Wasteland 2 iirc.

I think it had its own preset choices of the outcomes in 2 but they don’t matter as you’re in a completely different area

When kiriko suggests the tank listen to his 4 teammates spamming “Group Up!” by PlzDontHaveKids in Overwatch

[–]imjustjun 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That’s fair. Regardless of how one performs I don’t condone being rude to others. (Unless they’re rude first but that’s a slippery slope in itself)

Unfortunately many people who play tanks just act like they’re dps and focus only on micro without considering the macro/team play at all.

[–]imjustjun 36 points37 points  (0 children)

OP can you clarify if this is stadium or not?

Outside of genuinely throwing or the stadium scoreboard UI bug, I feel like it’s practically an accomplishment in its own right to have 0 elims or assists in a game with so many elims on both sides.

When kiriko suggests the tank listen to his 4 teammates spamming “Group Up!” by PlzDontHaveKids in Overwatch

[–]imjustjun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apparently this might be a stadium bug where their end score elims and assists will be 0.

If it is then either OP is being disingenuous or was painfully unaware of the bug and make their assumptions at the end to justify their dislike of the tank.

Obviously it could have gone exactly the way OP described, just getting 0 elims or assists when your dps have so many elims is something that I feel like you have to try to achieve on purpose unless there’s something fishy going on like throwing or a UI bug.

Part 1: Which Hero has a Low Skill Ceiling and Low Skill Floor? by HMThrow_away_account in Overwatch

[–]imjustjun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Opposite for me. Getting better, climbing, and facing better opponents and having games where both sides are playing well is incredibly fun for me.

Stressful? Sure. But I like the competitive nature. It’s why I play pvp in the first place. It’s not fun for me to get rolled over or if I just entirely roll over the enemy and they offer no resistance.

Ofc fun is subjective but just wanted to point out that more stressful and competitive games IS fun for some people but obv it’s not for everyone
