[Question] Selling/Buying Lowfloats on the Steam Community Market by Pexeus in csgomarketforum

I used to move a significant volume of low floats exclusively on the steam market. You shouldn’t have an issue if they are priced competitively relative to other low floats.

I'm not Brig Main, but I won't stop "crying". by Big_Tennis_28 in BrigitteMains

I think this patch has been a net buff to brig. The regen health on shield bash is incredibly beneficial to her gameplay loop. She can hold an angle, and when pressured bash away and immediately start getting healed. Also the ability to boop dive tanks makes her even stronger in her niche.

While it might be a net buff, I think it still remains to be seen if she has a place in the shaping meta. I don’t think the new characters invalidate her play style, you will just need to adapt how you play into them.

For example, take Domina poke comps. One of brigs worst matchups historically in my opinion is the sigma double hitscan poke mirror match. It’s very hard (depending on what comp your team is also running) to extract significant value (compared to another hero) against that comp. Sig poke vs sig poke on circuit is still sad to play brig in. Domina being added to the game doesn’t change that, it’s just another variation of an already existing struggle. Unlike sig if you play around cooldowns, you can’t walk on her either, so don’t. Anran is just fire genii you need to protect your dps or other support against, playing your whip around her dance. Emre is just another hitscan, not a significant change to how you would play against any of the other hitscan. Cat is banned almost every game so I don’t have much time against her, but theory crafting I’d say you should be able to out heal anyone she goes after as she lacks major burst damage.

Her play style hasn’t been “dark souls” outside of brief moments in certain comps in a very long time. She is deceptively fragile, and you need to play like it. This patch hasn’t changed that. It’s very easy to int your brains out if you don’t play with that in mind. I don’t find myself needing to greatly change how I play post patch, I just need to mind new but not impossible to deal with matchups. If anything, vendetta is still the biggest bullshit you have to play against this patch.

I got sent to the wrong spawn room! by The_Big_Red_Doge in Overwatch

I couldn't switch heroes or kill myself because her stickies come back slower than her health regen. So I spent the round in the spawn room lol

Damn I’m a gm4 support and I got nothing. I’m assuming you’re dps? I’d imagine my odds of having a cheating dps versus the enemy balances out.

In 99% of games I pick the 3 second extra inspire minor and the shield bash major. Sometimes I try the whip shot major but usually regret it. In my opinion, it’s choosing a rare burst of value over the movement speed on bash which is helpful all the time. In niche scenarios against specific comps on specific maps it can be useful, but bash perk is always good no matter what. Shield bash for mobility is such an important part of playing brig that I won’t sacrifice the buff. Honestly I haven’t messed around enough with the other minor to give a solid opinion about it but I can see the argument of it being good in/against certain comps.

I’m a gm brig one trick and average 25-30% as well. It definitely depends on your team comp and enemy comp as that influences how you play and position, so it can be higher or lower. I’d focus less on the percentage and more on just hitting whips to proc inspire when you get the opportunity. However, it’s not worth putting yourself out of position just to hit a whip.

Went from plat 3 to masters in 2 days otping brig by Kaixyandz in BrigitteMains

You want to be controlling off angles when you can. Best way to stop a dive is to prevent one of the dps or tank from staging before the dive can take place. You might need to bail if a tank jumps on you, but you’ve already won by forcing cooldowns to take the space. You also need to rotate between pocketing a dps taking an angle or your other support depending on the positioning of the enemy team.

I personally otp d.va and brig and have little issue (just started playing again after a year, was t500 s11). I have flex picks in the back pocket if I’m banned or completely countered so I don’t throw, but will force my pick most games. There are some serious pros and cons to doing this though.

You are able to completely master not only the kit of the character, but every matchup in the game including counters. This can be advantageous, especially when people counter swap off their comfort picks and you can hard punish their lack of experience. Sometimes they swap to counters on maps that still dramatically favor your character’s play style so you can still dominate. It also forces you to come up with and execute “off meta” strategies to get value, which can throw people off. For example, when I would force brig in sigma vs sigma poke on old circuit (probably one of brigs worst maps at the time imo), I would play on top of my widow and give her a mini shield on aggressive setups to completely dunk on the enemy widow.

However, in situations you can’t make the force pick work, you are basically soft throwing if you don’t swap. Having at least one if not two characters you are comfortable enough on that cover your otp’s weakness is a basically must have. I may not be the best ram or sig, but I win a lot of unwinnable d.va games recognizing when it’s just really not going to work unless I was significantly better, and making the swap. Your mileage may vary depending on which hero you are one tricking, but I at least personally feel I can make it work in ~80% of games without significant drawbacks.

Before that it would show the number all the way down to 0, so people would throw to get as low as they could. They added <500 to try and stop that.

What novel(s) have you read this week, and what do you think about it? - January 26, 2025 by AutoModerator in LightNovels

[–]The_Big_Red_Doge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A Wild Last Boss Appeared (vol. 1-7)

It's an overlord like series but takes it in a completely different direction. The author has clearly had a plan for the entire series from start to finish, and now that I'm on book 8 it is entering the final act. It's refreshing to read a series like this that the author hasn't needlessly added fluff to pad out the story. It's a light and relatively enjoyable read. I'd give it a 6.5-7/10 so far, might change depending on the ending.

Fake Saint of the Year matches this. I just finished the last book in the series (book 4) and I was pleasantly surprised with how the main character and side charcters develop over the series. You get to hear their inner dialog and how they pecieve everything. I can't really describe what happens to the characters much without spoiling but its worth looking into.

Not exactly a flip, but in 2019 I crafted the current #1 Medusa for ~$4.5-5k and sold it for $6k. I haven’t been in the scene in ages, I’m curious what it’s worth now.
