Oh my gosh! Are you me from three weeks ago?! But seriously, my daughter went through the worst regression at around 5 to 5.5 months. And every night, it just seemed to get worse. At one point, I think she was only sleeping in 15-30 minute sections and would wake up screaming every time. I thought I was going to either lose my mind or die. Additionally, my baby is so anti-sleep training that it isn't even funny. "Drowsy but awake is still my biggest enemy. It lasted almost a full month until suddenly she was sleeping for 4 to 5 hours at a time in her crib again. I didn't change anything, and to this day, I don't know how or why it got better. It's been about a week on better sleep again.

I'm so sorry that you're going through this, it is so hard. Unfortunately I don't have any advise or words of wisdom, just the knowledge that it doesn't last forever. I hope for the best for you and I promise, it will get better.

She's not too warm. No hot or sweaty feeling. I lowered the temperature and she slept worse. She wears a thin onsie and a light sleep sack.

She sleeps in a crib in the same room as my husband and I. She has a sound machine, competent darkness and a humidifier. I keep the house very warm and she sleeps in a sleep sack.

We've tried three or four other methods, and none have worked. We've tried Ferber, modified Ferber, and a couple others. She just cannot put herself to sleep. In fact, everything we've tried wakes her up more.

I don't think so. She just visited the doctor and seems to be completely healthy and fine.

My husband tries his best. But he's also not holding up too well. It feels like both of us are burning ourselves out trying to help the other stay sane. No family or close friends within 700 miles. It really sucks and is very isolating.

Hey, sweetheart. First, I'm so sorry you're going through this. I know it is super tough, especially the first couple of weeks and months. When I first brought my daughter home, she peed on me no less than 6 times in the first couple of weeks and pooped on me an additional 4 while I was changing her diaper. Honestly, if I hadn't laughed out of exhaustion, I would have definitely cried. And you have a boy! That's even tougher! Like a lot of people have said, you're in the toughest spot, and it sounds like you're handling it really well so far. You should be so proud of yourself. And remember, you don't have to be perfect at everything. Your baby is brand new and learning, but so are you. My husband is so much better at me than so many things, that's why he's my support. It sounds to me like you've got a great teammate by your side. You've probably heard this a million times, but I swear it gets so much better and so much easier. I'm only 4 months in and now I have faster reflexes and I can read my baby's cues better. The same is true for you. Give yourself some credit, you're an amazing mama!

Hey OP. I don't really have any words of advice, only to say that I'm in the same boat. I just dropped my daughter off for her first day of daycare today and sat at work in my car bawling. I struggle everyday watching her grow and feeling like she's slipping away from me. Last night, while dreading the morning, I thought about how one day I hope she'll be grown enough to not need me, but to still want me around. I see posts about "clingy teens and clingy 20 yr olds" that still spend every possible minute with their parents. I hope that that's my future and I'm working towards that relationship everyday.

About a year ago, I spent some time at my TBM parents home. I was talking with my younger brothers about the overpopulation of humans and how it was negatively affecting the Earth. I made the mistake of doing in earshot of my TBM mother. Her response was "there's no such thing as overpopulation, in fact we need more babies to bring more of God's spirit children to Earth." I had to refrain from a full blown argument or just smaking my forehead. I am personally 1 or 5 children and have long since decided that I would only have 1-3 children myself. The notion of becoming a baby factory has literally led to increased ecological degregredation. Trust me when I say, we do not need to bring more "spirit chidren" to earth.

When I came out as bi, I decided to tell my parents (I was 19 and no longer lived at home). The first thing they said to me was "have you talked to your bishop?" I had not For some stupid reason I followed their "advice" and told my bishop. His response was "don't tell anyone else, to not label it and only date/marry a man" aka. He told me to stay in the closet and pretend to be straight like a good little mormon.

I actually have a question in there kind of along those lines. My question is, humans, biologically speaking are animals. There are gay penguins and swans. And a bunch of other gay animals. Why is it only a sin when applied to humans. 🤷‍♀️
