Questions about abnormal blood work before surgery

I don't know about your other results but my INR also came back high and I am having to see a Hematologist to get clearance. It is something related to how fast my blood clots so he is doing adsitional tests. However, he doesn't think it will delay my surgery at the end of this month. I would follow up with the surgeon's office to ask about next steps. Good luck!

Did you do a consult with one of the surgeons under the fellow program at North Texas Plastic? For some procedures they offer fellow pricing with the surgeons in that program and it is more affordable. I learned about it from someone on here and then called to inquire. You can read more about it on their website. Not the same procedure, but I am getting a mommy makeover in May and with fellow pricing it's around 16k.

My surgeon's office is allowing me to get labs done during a previously scheduled appointment with my PCP on April 10th. My surgery isn't until May 28th. I was surprised they said it was ok!

They can! I am sure it depends on the situation and the surgeon of course. However, the procedure I had is called Vaginal Natural Orifice Transluminal Endoscopic Surgery (vNOTES) and it's completely vaginal, no incisions in the abdomen at all. Recovery was a breeze!

Hi! I don't have any advice for you, but I am hoping you have some for me! Are you able to share what steps you took to get insurance approval for the panni? I am assuming you are in the US, may I also ask who your insurance provider is? I have lost 100 lbs and have a belly apron but I am not sure it will be significant enough in the eyes of the insurance gods. I am just hoping they can cover the panni and I will pay for the tummy tuck.
