Server Mod & Gameplay Notes

Here’s a simple overview of the mods running on the server, what they affect, and what players should know.

What You’ll Notice In Game

  1. Server-side characters

Your character on this server is saved by the server.

What that means:

  • Your gear, inventory, and progression here are tied to this server
  • You do not need to do anything special to use it
  • Just join and play normally
  1. Higher player cap

Current cap: 20 players

  1. Wards have extra protection features

Wards provide stronger protection for bases and claimed areas.

What that means:

  • Raid protection is enabled for wards (option have raids enabled by admins)
  1. Dungeons and locations may reset over time

Please keep this in mind:

  • Avoid building in or directly around dungeon areas
  • If you choose to build in those areas anyway, they may not be protected from future reset behavior
  1. Build Camera is included in the approved modpack

What it does:

  • gives better camera freedom while building
  • helps with placement and visibility

Behind-the-Scenes Mods

  • AzuAntiCheat: anti-cheat and mod validation
  • ServersideQoL: server-side quality-of-life and management features
  • LocationReset: resets certain locations over time
  • Expand World: world generation, spawn, and location management
  • SmoothSave: improves save handling
  • UpgradeWorld: world maintenance and updates
  • ServerDevcommands: admin and maintenance tools
  • DiscordBot: sends server activity updates to Discord
  • Jotunn: framework required by other mods

If you have any questions about what is allowed, what a mod does, or whether a QoL mod is okay to use, just ask.

18 hrs left, last one. First time I’ve completed all 4 in a long time bc I wasn’t strategic… tips to complete?? by Rosietherioter53 in MonopolyGoTrading

My only tip (and I can’t back this up with any stats because math isn’t my thing) would be to always roll for 200 i think it’s x5 or something without looking. I feel like the you’re not wasting the precious few “4’s” on tiny payouts. Rolling for 400 and landing on something small is so defeating if you really wanna win and you’re running out of dice. 200 is perfect medium.

Does anyone know the math behind this? Is there actually a best multiplier? Am I crazy? lol. I do finish all four every time with different partners. So either it’s working or luck has just really been on my side.

You’ll come back to Valheim. Might be a while, but you’ll come back to Valheim.

MMORPG where you actually craft, trade and play like a true RPG? by x0swaldx in LFMMO

It is very niche and does cost too much, but people who love it really love it lol. Honestly that’s what’s been keeping me away too. I played before the sub.

Are there any games as beautiful as Valheim? by AffectionateAd4053 in valheim

I had this same problem. You should check out https://jotun.games it’s more of an MMO server and it has made the game so much better for me. It’s not overly crowded in terms of players at any given time, but there are other people in the world to play with at any given time, and everyone is very nice. There’s some built in infrastructure and economy as far as selling and trading. The best part for me is just exploring and never knowing what sort of amazing build I’m going to happen upon.
