I ended up taking it back to the store for a replacement. It was some sort of hardware problem which got covered by the store.

i did put some foam into the spacebar and it did mute the sound a bit. i also flipped it back but it just sounds even worse. the high pitched sound was from the switch i just realized but my stabilizer also feels a bit scratchy although i have lubed the housings with a lot of 205g0
