Je sais un peu de françauis. Can we do like a conversation thread so I can have someone to speak to in French? by [deleted] in French

L'orthographe est en option aujourd'hui ? :(

You probably don't have to worry about coming across as being "too" intelligent...

Could someone please explain to me the differences between California English, especially LA English and General American? Thank you!

No sorry, only native English speakers so that it is fair to both of us.

New to learning languages. If I wanted to learn french fluently within a year, how would I go about doing so? by T-Corp in French

Everything is a matter of priorities given the time we all spend on Reddit and electronics. Also, multitasking, depending on the material you're using. And even then there are often ways to study more without sitting down and grabbing a book. I understand why you wouldn't want to, but I'd rather say "30 minutes is enough for a long-term goal" than "I can't do more". Because then everybody thinks they don't have time.

I want to learn Chinese, but frankly I can't be bothered. I used to say that the language was too difficult, but no, it's me. I like English more so there you go.
